sadh, 23 Feb 2018That is why phone price keeps being pricier than ever. Mark... moreYou do know that if you are selling something with a crazy price tag, people will not usually buy them, no? And it goes the same for something priced reasonably lower, people will most likely buy them due to the cheaper price.

That is why phone price keeps being pricier than ever. Market demans lower and lower because people change their phone not so often as some years ago.
    Demand lower, price higher.

        - Prices went up too much and what they offer in return isn't a huge improvement (if the s8, s9 had thermal FLIR cameras like Cat S60, S61, I would understand the prices..)
        - older models can still handle very well and upgrading to a newer model isn't a must yet.
        - I for one, fall into the category of people that will NOT buy a phone that lacks the 3.5mm jack, SD card slot and waterproofing, no matter how good, shiny or bezeless that phone is.
People say that Huawei and OnePlus are budget friendly brands. Yeah, right! I'm from Europe and in my country the 5T and and the Mate 10 cost MORE than the S8+ or XZ Premium. For a replika brand?! Bleahh!
How is this a cheaper alternative? People don't know how to count..

Im the end, it's the people's fault for paying so much. If nobody would buy them, those prices would go down like rocks..

Thats what you get for pricing too high

              I'm not surprised.
They take out must have features like the headphone jack and then up-charge us with a ridiculous price. Serves them right.

I'm not surprised- almost every phone looks the same, innovation is scarce and most of the time gimmicky, whilst even midrangers from around 2016 are still snappy enough for everything normal users need on a day-to-day basis.
If your phone is a midranger or higher from 2016 or later, there's no compelling argument to upgrade.

Sales volume goes down, prices goes up.

                      Overpriced and missing useful features.

Also older devices still work well enough for the majority of people so no need to upgrade quickly anymore.

                        No headphone jack, no buy.

They are offering such crappy devices more people are discouraged to replace their phones. I know i am.
