26 February 2018
Rounded bodies, 18:9 panels, no headphone jacks, it's a bold new direction for the Xperia family.

look like lumia 930 dull version in terms of design...
and 3.5mm jack removal gives them a chance to edge out pixel and htc...and they put fingerprint sensor on the back...like they sell very well on US...which is not the case

i don't understand them at all

to compare...nokia 8 seems unnecessary but nokia did everything right with 7 plus

Looks like piece of crappy plastic, still big bezels and no headphone jack??? Sony, are you kidding me? The XZ premium looked way much better. I've waited for new Sony phone, but now I'm switching to Samsung after almost 10 years.

Achillias, 26 Feb 2018So the supposedly new design language still haves a lot of ... moreI for one will not.

I honestly thought Sony was going to be one of the last makers to leave 3,5 jack.
Now, only hope is Samsung doesn't follow this trend of removing features.

Looks promising! I really hope the camera and display perform good. I might switch to Sony after 5 years of Samsung and Apple phones.. The bezels are decent, they slimmed them down a bit. Can't wait to see the Compact live.

So the supposedly new design language still haves a lot of bezels they removed the 3.5 headphone jack and it looks likes their older counter parts. Who is going to buy this?

Disappointing, No Headphone Jack in a Sony Flagship :(
                No 3.5mm, no buy

                  The design is ugly.
