BP and Heart Rate are two different things. For that matter, as of now, no smartphone can measure BP. S9 and S9+ will be the world first in measuring BP

If this sensor is even remotely accurate it will be usable for people that don't have time to get their blood pressure checked regularly. Besides it's accuracy, the sole fact that they managed to create an optical blood pressure sensor is a major step forward in medical applications. Here's to hoping they'll put it in their smartwatch next

The blood pressure monitroing is an excellant tool. I currently use a blood pressure monitor at home. I went to the doctors with it and we checked this agianst the doctors reading and they were the same. Would need to do the same with this, in order to see how accurate it is. If you knew the variance, if any, then it would be much easier to take & track your blood pressure, than having to wrap a cuff round your arm every time. You'd pay a good £100 for an accurate bluetooth blood pressure monitor, so take that off the price of the phone.......

Finally a tech site posting something like this. I have never heard nor read this from any tech reviewers since I watched the unveiling if this phone but thank God. This is a very underrated feature the S9/+ has.

agree that it wouldn't be wise to use the S9 to measure blood pressure on the regular or to diagnose patients, but it would be a nice tool for patients that already have been diagnosed with pre/hypertension to measure their BP on the go, to get a general idea of when they need to go and get a proper test done or whether they are in the clear and their BP is under control.

I'm ready to swi... moreNICE! I already shifted to S8 from 4 years of HTC experience ending at M9 PLUS.
apart from the drop ( durability ) everything else is a blast up until now.
P.S my S8 also indicates stress level, may be a new data collection technique.
