AnonD-732843, 01 Mar 2018How am I being ridiculous and not making sense? Am I speaki... moreWell, you're asking too much, but you're right... phones like this can be better. SoC is right, screen size can be of 2.8'', like the N95-4, size-wise it can be smaller, battery is right, good audio quality is a must, camera needs AF, and multimedia buttons, could do very well for those who want to ditch their smartphones.

        Will it sync contacts?

Nokia should put some internet messenger in the phone. Feature phone also can have messenger. Most modern Japanese feature phone (so called gara-kei phone) are equipped with internet messenger "LINE" (Dominant messenger in Japan and SE Asia). I hope that the 8110 have WhatsApps messenger.

Zenodroid, 01 Mar 2018If you have to slide it, then it's not like the one from matrix. I second this. The Matrix phone should have cover opening with spring, not by pushing the cover down. The spring loaded cover was source of "coolness" of this Matrix phone. I hope that Nokia put the spring back.

If you have to slide it, then it's not like the one from matrix.

Would have been nice to see the back of the slide part.
Is the microphone in the slider (as the original), or is the slide obstructing the mic?
The small hole visible in the bottom part (1:26 in) could indicate the later...

AnonD-732843, 01 Mar 2018How am I being ridiculous and not making sense? Am I speaki... moreYou don't get my point, do you? This phone isn't meant for browsing or content viewing. You're having unrealistic expectations. Having bezelless design would mean sacrificing the durability of these phones. How is 2.4" not enough for texting and calling? You could basically call this a "dumb" phone. I remember having galaxy pocket which had worse specs than this and it was a smartphone. Why would you add more powerful hardware if people couldn't even utilize it? So what if your note 4 or v20 can last a bit more than a day? Older phones lasted for weeks. Now phones are so fragile, but back then due to their large builds, which protected phone insides, you could throw them around without worrying.
What you're saying is not thinking out of the box, it's just pure nonsense you're spilling out.

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2018You are being ridiculous and don't make sense. First, there... moreHow am I being ridiculous and not making sense? Am I speaking some foreign language or something? Please kindly & willingly enlighten me in that matter.

Anyway, I would say I'm thinking outside of the box... because for:

                    1. The whole black bezel screen area are just begging to be trimmed.
The whole area COULD be more EFFECTIVELY used and indeed can fit a bigger screen up to let's say 2.9" max. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on my 3" max exaggeration which I now withdraw and resort in a slight reduction max POSSIBLE usable screen display area of 2.9" with NO BEZELS. - Now that would be a pleasure to look at, don't you agree?

                    2. A 2nd camera, even a VGA one should be standard, just in case. - Note, JUST IN CASE. a eventual need to use one might come up because anything can happen.

                    3. Yes, 1500mAh is definitely not up to standards especially considering the hefty 14.9mm thick body which is more than enough to house at least a 2000mAh battery if not even double the original capacity up to 3000mAh. Battery aside, the thickness of the phone allows room for a powerful if not AT LEAST mid-range hardware when this clearly has the lowest even possible which is a joke and just a rare earth mineral wasted device.
By the way, to be honest, my Note4 and V20 last more than a day and if I only please can make them last a whole week if I only wish so what are you getting at with that week long endurance od yours? Anything is possible you just got to do it...

Finally, Ive had a reality check indeed, thank you very much and don't deem my comment as bullsh*t. I'm just merely saying/recommending that there is room for improvement which was just simply unused in the name of profit for HMD. Last but not least, the Nokia 8110 and the Nokia 1 are not necessarily for different audiences as the price is similar and more bang for your buck is what I would call a key factor in choosing phones amongst everything else.

Note7 owner, 01 Mar 2018Definitely not a phone for you!!!As your name suggests that you were or are a Note7 owner, let me say that I did have the original Note7 and I was happy with it but had to return it since we all know what happened.

But yes, this phone is definitely not for me and you're entirely 100% correct on that matter.

AnonD-732843, 01 Mar 2018Looks unique but the 2MP rear with no front cam? Ridiculous... moreYou are being ridiculous and don't make sense. First, there is no need for a larger screen and no, you couldn't fit it in that size. Second, why would you want a front camera. People who buy this probably don't use the camera at all. Having a camera on the back is already good enough Third, 1500 mAh is not enough for you? This phone will last a week or more while your regular smartphone lasts only a day.
Your Nokia 1 and this are totally different devices meant for different audiences. Please take a reality check and stop commenting bullsh*t.

Looks unique but the 2MP rear with no front cam? Ridiculous!
The screen is also pathetic..Easily could have been 2.6" or even 3" max in that body.
14.9mm thickness of a brick yet battery only 1500mAh? Seriously?
                            Lame af, not a icon.
Props for the resurrection but I'd still rather have the Nokia 1..

Snapdragon 205 is too much for this type of phone. :D
