Many people will not buy it just because it is LG.
Additional more people wont buy it because it has a notch.
If these guys wants to sell, they better avoid "cancer trends".

Guess they made the notchscreen, so the can use the same panels for the iphone production. Just liked they used the panel of the lg v30 also in the pixel 2 xl.

With our luck, that next "Judy" phone will keep that sorry excuse of a display (as evidenced by the G710x model number, since the G6 was G600x) and will be even worse
But in the meantime we have that sorry excuse of a new phone called with a 10-foot long name that do not bring anything over the old models since the AI craze will get backported.
Is it too early to call LG next on the dead OEM list?

Some are complaining about the battery life. They don't know V30 have good battery life among the flagships...

Curve and notch screens are smartphones' innovation excuses, awaiting foldable screen with just normal bezel and big batteries.

zamroni1, 28 Feb 2018It's good if they cancel it because they realize that notch... moreExactly! Stupid LG, don't follow Apple, a silly design should not be copied. Why hide it rather than remove it all together? Just look at Samsung, they are not putting the stupid notch anywhere, lol

It's good if they cancel it because they realize that notch is limitation, not feature

Vivo has shown us how to really do a full screen device.
If a company that's not as rich as Samsung or Apple can do it, there's no way that more profitable OEMs can't.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2018It being cancelled could mean that they noticed the negativ... moreNegative responses? Quite a few other companies are implementing it and the most popular smartphone model last quarter had it. Don't think they bother what a few people on a discussion thread thinks ;)
Also going with the software hidden implementation, like on picture show, there are only advantages over the old "forhead" design. You do not see the "notch" but you can free up space on the ordinary screen area by having status icons always show on the screen area beside the sensors.

It is a damned good job that they did not release that! A 3000mA battery, has to be a demo unit, for something. And why notch it? Seriously, I am happy with a lens width bezel at the top, makes the phone a touch bigger, but that equals more space in the device. Business text books of the future will have chapters devoted to HTC, LG and Sony.

It being cancelled could mean that they noticed the negative response to notches and don't want to make a mistake like that.

Good thing they canceled it, looks terrible with that notch.
