The notch is spreading for no good reason: the MWC was rife with iPhone X lookalikes

01 March 2018
Wouldn't you know it, Apple started another design trend in the mobile world - screens with a bit cut off the top.

          Straight up copying as usual

            Bunch of ugly looking phones..

Notch is not a feature. Please stop. Extra 5mm of a top bezel is absolutely OK.

If we don't want phones with notches, don't buy them. I won't be buying any phone with a notch or without a headphone jack or good old SD card slot

I'm going to stop buying phones until this trend dies out. Unless they bring small bezels, perfect example is the Samsung Galaxy S9 the bezels are not too big and not too small and doesn't have a notch.

Alien , 02 Mar 2018Let's face it. In the Android world there are only 2 brands... moreSurprisingly enough, It's those Chinese brands that are starting to dare to innovate, see The Xiaomi Mii Mix and The Vivo Apex...........
But anyways, some brands are probably just thinking that copying will make people think that their phones work like iphones and think it's the same, or have the same speed and features, fortunately it seems some people are getting more conscious about these andare buying smartly, and The low-end tier of smartphones is continuely having improved specs, so those phones are not as bad as the ones of before.

If the notch means future of the phone market then i would rather live in a stone age.

Hey, Apple and Samsung designed something which their sheep customers will anyways buy to give them money. Let's copy them shall we?

Quite possibly the stupidest thing any manufacturer can do is blatant ripping off. Ok fine, if you run out of space in the front then a notch might be necessary but there is next to no reason to copy the traffic light arrangement of rear cameras.

Let's face it. In the Android world there are only 2 brands: Samsung and Sony.

The rest are either dumb copycat replika brands: ALL china brands (Huawei, Xiaomi, OnePlus, I don't know them all - I'm not interested in garbage).

Either their updates are non existent or they show up when it's too late and people already bought something else (LG).

Or they lack the most important features like waterproofing, SD card slot, 3.5mm jack: Pixels, HTC.
