AnonD-673279, 02 Mar 2018The plague of 18:9 screens and notches is spreading. Nokia ... moreWell said Sinedd. The plague of 18:9AR screens phones, phones with notches is spreading like wild fire and i detest it with a passion. Nokla did a good job with the 16:9AR Nokia 8, but for the curved screen, lack of headphone jack and just ok battery capacity.
Which OEM is really going to release a top flagship or variant with 16:9AR (5.7"--6.2") minimal bezels full view QHD screen with a huge battery?? Second gen Razer phone??

The only phone that I think is exciting was Vivo Apex
    Leaks ruined S9
    Sony ruined XZ2
    LG did nothing exciting
Nokia released 8 siroco which is like other phones, banana phone which I dont care about, 7 was only good nokia at MWC

      Nokia 7 Plus

I really love Xperia phones. Both compact and regular models are great

I was waiting to see Energizer 16K battery Phone... It was going to be launched at MWC only... No words later?

Glad that LG pull out last minute from the notch curse, it's not a design and totally pointless to do so. Those copying iPhoneX notch good luck to them as they are profiteering and not being innovative.

Xperian, 02 Mar 2018Nokia 7 Plus saved the show: Good spec, Androidone phone, c... moreWhich phone company changes design every year? Samsung didn't change design for S9 because S8 is already the BEST design of ALL phones on earth. Same design not equal to nothing new. There are a lot of new goodies and innovations and world's firsts under the hood. On the contrary, although sony change design this year(after keeping the same design for whopping 9 generations lmao), we can say there is nothing new in the latest XZ2 because there is no new feature or improvement. It is even a downgrade version of XZ1(ugly design, thick like a brick, no 3.5mm jack, worse selfie cam).

                  Disappointed by Sony's redesign.
                  Notch virus everywhere.
                  S8s announcement.
LG V30 rerelease with a stupid name.
Cool concept phone that will stay a concept for the foreseeable future.
Did I mention stupis notch virus?
Cool eco-friendly phone trashed by MediaTek.
Alcatel's new line-up with a "flagship" rocking MT
                  midrange SoC.
Ton of Chinese OEMs copying the notch, complete with iOS icons and S8-like clock on lock screen and home screen.
                  Notch plague.
                  Awful notches.
Phones with thick bezels and yet a notch.
                  Nonsense notches.
Phone with notches and rounded corners but software that does not take it into account so the clock gets cut off the screen

That MWC was a bust. And if this is representative of the mobile phone market for the future, well Yay, the market's dead. PC fate!

The plague of 18:9 screens and notches is spreading. Nokia 8 Sirocco was the only saving grace, but it has two major negatives if not deal-breakers in it's curved screen and lack of a headphone jack.

My Xperia ZL is almost 5 years old and there's still no worthy successor...

                        Not Nokia 8 Sirocco, lmao

Because S9 in design is the same, like S8, so nothing new there.

I wish OEMs stopped making iPhone based UIs. What's so special about the UI? Asus made a regression here.

Best back, was the cork Ilimobile, 2nd was Asus Zen 5, the Sony. Best overall package was the S9+. Biggest fails was LG, and those notches in everything.

Nokia saved the WMC this year I tell you.
