I have had a number of handsets over the years and what I have noticed is we are always waiting for the next os release to fix our phones. iOS 5 supposed to fix some basic faults on iOS. Ice cream sandwich supposed to defragment the android experience. Now mango coming to fix some but not all of the glaring oversights of windows phone 7.
Maybe if they listened to users they might design better os from scratch. I am tired of waiting for updates that always seem to be months away.

[deleted post]LoL I'm not that much on WP7 wagon, but at least has more adepts than the almost dead Meego and I don't said that, this is on Marketshare basis.
Remember when people has looking for firms to save Meego... MEGA LOL
There are more loyalist to Symbian..
Don't even get an small number of people, that show there was almost NO interest for Meego OS. not even 100,000 firms adding Facebook, Twitter and Blogs..and do you belive or really think Nokia will take that seriously???
However, It will be nice see more ecosystems around, but the ones that work not only based in wet dreams and good wishes...

I don't believe in Windows Phone 7 Mango (cucumber, pumpkin or whatever) What is the point of having multitasking if you can't see call duration in calls log and calling functions are underdeveloped generally? If your phone is not convenient enough as a phone - there is not much help even if it has built in nuclear reactor... First of all Windows Phone is bad as a phone OS and in such situation lack of multitasking and integration with social services is not high priority issue. Mango will be far behind iOS, Android, Bada and even old Symbian.

I have been running Launcher 7 on my Nexus S for the past 3 months. I really don't know how much better W7 can really be (aside from xbox live).

AnonD-16587, 12 Aug 2011It took two years for Apple to implement MMS, video capture... moreHah, epic pwnage man. It's surprising how after a full 3 years and the iPhone 4 was rated as the most innovative phone of the year if we ignore the UI experience. So many features were lacking and I still facepalm myself when I think of the (volume rocker/camera zoom) combo ''introduced'' by Apple.

sure I'm interested, but there is one thing that bothering me about this mango release compared to android devices, they not support (for this moment) for people in my country, Indonesia. I've heard that there is no marketplace support for Indonesia market and I'm a bit disappointed with that. why I should buy this mango device while I cannot use the marketplace to pick some good apps?? maybe later MS will support the Asis-Pasific region...but I dont know when... :(
I love the metro UI, it's simple and clean =, but for me if there is no good apps to get, why should I buy this mango devices...???

Looking forward to it. My current WP is missing many features already found on other manufacturers. Hope the date holds.

Yes!!!!!
I already have a HTC Mozart, and it is great. Of course OSs are a matter of taste, but I truly believe that the Windows 7 OS is/ will be the best. It is not as manic as Android (who needs 7 home screens?!) or as locked down as IOS. Mango should be amazing I hope!
