And you've got Helio X30 that use 10nm or P20/23/25 that use 16nm. These one could be ok.
It depends of brands too, the screen they choose, the rom.

Meizu pro 7/7 Plus with P25/X30 are ok, not the best, but average.

According the 12nm and the new modem that is more efficient (as Mediatek says), it should ne nice...waiting and see

        - E7885 : Finfet 14nm from Samsung which is close to 16nm from TSMC
        P40 (not P70) : Finfet 12nm from TSMC
        - E7885 : GPU Mali G71Mp2 (the same as Helio P23)
        P40 : (probably) GPU Mali G72Mp3, as Arm says, G72 is 25% faster than G71
        - Deep Learning on P40

        And some things better on Exynos :
        - LTE 600Mb/s vs 450Mb/s
        - bluetooth 5.0 vs 4.2

        I think both will give a great experience to mid-range devices, close to last year flagships in most tasks except in a few games

          As Helio P60 runs at 2.0Ghz, P70 won't run at 1.8Ghz...
          More probably a "Helio P40", I imagine.

          I think several soc from mediatek were renamed
          P70 stays like rumors said with Cortex A73 at 2.5Ghz
          P60 is the P40 with Cortex A73 at 2.0Ghz that rumors talked about a few monthes ago...performances are close to Snapdragon 660, name will be close to, things will be clearer for customers.
          Other rumors talked about a P38 with Cortex A73 at 1.8Ghz, I think this one will become the P40.
          Both P40 and P70 weren't officially announced yet.
