I'm waiting S9 launch so i can get S8 with even more discounted price.
S9 hype is just crap. I do not use phone that often to take pictures so S8 is still good. Second thing is never buy new phone at launch, its way overpriced especially iphone and Samsung.

S8, Note 8, iPhone 7/8, LG G6,V30, Wowee P series, HTC10, Moto Z all good enough. Why upgrade? I think that phone with the pop up selfie camera and large finger print sensor in the lower screen is the future. No notch either. And there is the Galaxy X coming with a flexible display. I guess that will be the Note 9. Worth waiting for such innovations. iPhone X looks silly with the notch and is too pricey for a limited value proposition, even if sexy.

"may" in the headline? From what in the article, it suggests that they are not keeping pace. Hardly surprising as the completion is fierce for the money. Also, the S8 is a damned fine upgrade for those coming from an S7. I'm still considering the S9+, but want to wait to see what LG and HTC can do. If LG could release the G7 with a decent battery or if HTC adds wireless charging, then I am in on them.

What boggles my mind is the fact that anyone preorders at all. Why?! Is there ever any shortage beyond artifically created shortage? And even if there would be, what's a couple of days or weeks in waiting, as long as you know you're getting what you're expecting? (after checking reviews, prices around different vendors, etc)
But more on point to this article: the S8 was at least a big change in aesthetics, the S9 - while more powerful in certain areas - not really a big change. Heck, most people couldn't tell the S8 from the S9 at a glance, and that's what people want: their status symbol visible and visibly distinguishable from all others.

S9 is the best phone on the market and is lower price then apple. But this year vivo and few other brands will be realsing few good phones with built in screen fingerprint and bezeless.

i thought the most exciting thing about the S9 was that it ships with oreo out of the box which means it supports project treble. However, i won't make a decision on getting a S9 until gsmarea finishes doing all their tests (battery endurance, display, etc)

Where did you get the info about measuring the blood pressure? It doesn't measure it, I played with a unit and the blood pressure can only be manually entered. There's the option to connect with various external blood pressure monitors.

well if they made moth versions of the s9 and s9+ both have dual rear cameras they would see more pre-orders. A lot of people don't like Samsung gimping the smaller model. some people want the 2x zoom in a small form factor. That's what they get for copying apple gimping their smaller model. The S9 is not much bigger than the iphone x but apple managed to add a dual camera system on theirs. Why can't samsung? It's coz they wanted to create a false premium tier to peddle their wares.

Honestly saying, if I am owning S8 and not custom to change phone every year unless the new one has offers something groundbreaking. I will stick with S8 for another year and will take 10th number happily!!

odd number models would sell less. just have upgrade on camera, no major change on all other aspects, the look, ram amount, storage amount. even the soc micron process are kept the same. not new hardware indeed. just repackaged the old one, over speed it and advertise it as new plus plus.
