Looks fantastic, the notch is completely unnoticeable with black background on status bar.
Also, makes it symmetrical with the chin.

Looks like S9 and Xperia flagships are only ones that do not have notches. All androids will have a notch this year .. whether apple's design is good or bad .. they don't care. SHAME !!

Welp...I guess I can rule out LG (since, according to the article, this may replace the V-series). Now to wait and see if OnePlus listened to the crowd that hated that one prototype and if ZTE Axon 9 carries all the bands needed for the U.S. I wouldn't rule out the Pixel 3 XL. If Google were smart with their next flagships, I'll consider them.

My Lumia 920 felt premium. Sturdy as hell, and launched with more features than a lot of the Androids of today. Some reviewers would suggest a glass hammer felt "premium', despite being as much use as a chocolate fire guard.

I think LG should have stuck on with their invention of secondary display strip for better shake. That could have been useful than this crappy notch.
LG wont realize that it has written some perfect answer (secondary display strip) but changed mind copying Apple (notch) thinking later is more appealing to users.. but the reality is not! (Result: LG wasted their innovation and not marks awarded too.)

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2018You missed my part about palm rejection. Bezels are not nee... moreNotch looks gross in my opinion. Still love the minimum top and bottom bezel of my S8. Say what you will about the bezels being useless but the seamless transition from the black OLED to the black (barely there bezel) is beautiful. The seamless line along the top of the screen is normal.
What's not normal is having a cutout (notch) in the top line breaking up the fluidity of the display. Notches are SHIT, no if's, and's or buts about it.
And as for the edge display, I think it makes the phone look sleek and sexy as fuck!
But these are my opinions and you are free to think as you wish, even though your wrong.
