refurbished phones are no good. bought an Apple Certified Pre Owned before and won't charge after 1 year of use.

And old phones affected? Dont believe to everything you read.
I can guarantee you that new phones will do the same.
Wait few months or year and the same issue will go for apple 8 and X.
Trust me apple works simmilar to Elon Musk Tesla. People pay for their vehicles long time before they get any.

And just for your information. Brand new Iphone 7 raw manufacturing price is 219,80 eur. So paying 350 for used phone like thanks NO.

The price is great value as these phones still have a long life with their top of the range processors. You mention closed operating system, yet it doesn't affect many users as they only want to keep in touch with people. Alot of Android users don't use the OS to its full potential tial. They just use the apps they need on a daily basis just like many iphone users.

I'm not gonna say you should stay clear but do be aware refurb on eBay can include perfectly serviceable parts but not always OEM parts. This comes from someone that buys used phones on auction sites a lot but I accept what I'm getting into

How the hell £320 could be called a "deal"?
With that price, you could buy ANY brand-new phone with NO-RESTRICTION unlike iphone!
With that money, u could buy a flagship-grade Chinese phone, made by the same Foxconn, such as Xiaomi or OnePlus. There are also ZTE with its Nubia and Axon, Asus, even Huawei which gets better day by day in build quality, camera, software update, and durability.
