Go to talk.maemo.org forum, & search for the latest posts made by the user 'jolo'
I don't care personally for a range of reasons, but it's still "on the cards".

Dominator, 16 Aug 2011Google for Motorola Dinara (Croatia) it will outshine alrea... moreDoubtful....
The only thing that probably does is the SGSII & some of it's variants.
But only after a 3rd party Android ROM has been added.
Still prefer the N9 overall though.

There's countless areas it's better in...
FM RX/RDS is definite, TX is not, this story was wrong.
There def. won't be TX, the antenna simply isn't there.
But RX was confirmed as do-able via software.

Don't worry about the money. The FM transmitter likely comes at no extra cost because it's part of the connectivity chip that also does Wifi and Bluetooth. For those who worry, Nokia actually saved money by not designing and implementing _another_ antenna in the N9 ;)

The FM transmitter is placed in a Combo chip along with the bluetooth module since the days of N85 . The version of the custom - made chip changes every now and then , the combination remains the same .

"…and Nokia isn't exactly in a position where it can throw money down the drain".
Here's a murder story about a phone manufacturer who invested loads of time and effort to come up with a shiny new operating system and mobile phone. Then they… ok, the CEO did it.
