Great I love this Y9 because of the battery. I will get this one for my wife whilst I get the Mate 10 or Mate 10 Pro for my self. I was waiting to see the P20 to choose between them. But what I have seen of the P20 it doesn't interest me. But I will wait till 27 MARCH to know the actual made of the phone.

What is wrong with Huawei off lately? its the 5th phone with exact same specifications in the last 3 months. why is it so difficult to stick to and support 2-3 models for at least 6 months globally, software and OS updates would be much easier that way

xda-developers posted three days ago rumors about the new midrange kirin: "Along with the NPU, the Kirin 670 is rumored to have two Cortex-A72 cores and four Cortex A-53 cores (which puts it on par with the current Kirin 950). The new ship should be built on TSMC’s 12nm FinFet process and will also have an integrated ARM Mali G72 MP4 GPU"
P.D. Why Y9 (2018)? I can't find any preexisting Huawei Y9, Huawei line is so confusing that not even GSMarena can keep count ;-)

AnonD-558092, 10 Mar 2018Quit spamming the 659. Is the number 660 copyrighted for th... moreWhy would you want a Kirin 660? p9 lite debuted 2 years ago with the 650 (2.0/1.7ghz), then it was 652, 653... now is the 659(2.36/1.7) , same cpu with slightly higher clocks.. it seems to have reach his overclock limit, Huawei needs a better NEW midrange SOC with better GPU, radios, image processing etc, or start using their 9xx series in midrange to compete with the 636/660 and future Qualcomm chips

They don't have to do this if only they gave us 4000mAh battery and Android Oreo with the Mate 10 Lite/Nova 2i/Honor 9i and Honor 7x.

Quit spamming the 659. Is the number 660 copyrighted for them not to change their dated SoC?

And a big thumbs up for Huawei and it's ever confusing line-up.

Massive battery with probably no fast charging

This is actually sequel to 7x. Should be good because 7x is better than MiA1.

                          The chipset is an Embarrassing!!!

The chipset is a joke, the rest doesn't seem that bad actually. Especially the design caught my eye, as now I'm used to the back cameras seeming like one strip of cameras with the flash in the middle and a notch on the front, things that look pretty ok on the original, but are ugly af if copied.

Thick bezels! Plus the same old chip that Huawei has been using for a ton of phones now! Line Up is like Honor 9 Lite, Honor 7X, Huawei Mate 10 Lite (Honor 9i), and now Huawei Y9! Enough of it now!

So many models released by huawei, and yet only a handful of countries will be able to experience it.
