Shamsung as I call them promise updates but never deliver. They rarely deliver on updates for the top tier of phones and almost never deliver on phones lower than the top tier.

Gotta give credit to Samsung, drop a new model and everyone is going gaga over it.. oh new... Shiny...
You buy it and less than 2 months after Samsung is already on to its new shiny toy to sell and Samsung fans get stuck with crappy update schedules. Samsung doesn't care anymore about your phone anymore suckers, they're on to their new toy to sell you, while you get stuck with Lagwiz.
Rinse and repeat every year where Sammy fanboys tout the new and improved model. Trust us, it won't lag this time :)

google takes less time to update OS than samsung takes to make a skin and some duplicate apps. But there are some idiots who is shouting for Samsung's deep integration.
Dear Samsung stop making duplicate apps - they are cheap - and we know you are pathetic in making software. Leave it. Give premium phone - latest android(it's not your), latest security update.
Now for the the samsung supporter can you explain why they fail to give even security update within 2 months? My note 8 is having dec 17 security patch. Think and get educated.

This will be the first year that my current Verizon Samsung has not been updated before the new model is in my hands. Really pathetic. Then again, it used to only come about a month prior.

Dear user of GSM Arena.
Yoou should already know that when comes to updates Samsung is always last. They only know how to support sales by expensive advertising which is inculded in price of every phone you buy. But when it comes to updates Samsung is always last.
Nokia has been reborn year ago and every month it have updates security patches and everything else.
If Samsung doesnt change its priorities soon they will end in some Garage like when apple begun :-)

But still we shouldn't criticize SAMSUNG for that, since their own UX requires a whole lot of stuff that's why they took longer to update it to ANDROID OREO. Hope Project Treble really helps in updating ANDROID fast...
