lacp, 14 Mar 2018There are always Samsung, remember that. Its not only Qualc... moreSamsung and Huawei are not competing in everything. I most cases they're not even worried about what the other one is doing.

Samsung's cash cow is electronic components. Huawei's is telecom and network equipment. Smartphones are just a byproduct of each company's expertise. And they're only a small part of their overall income.

Broadcom and Qualcomm do also play in slightly different fields, but there is some substantial overlap. More so than Samsung and Huawei. I'm just not sure if it would be good or bad for the consumers at this point.

But, I bet this transaction would be allowed to go thru if Qualcomm was buying Broadcom without any issues.

Just last week, the senior economic advisor drastically quit without warning because he got tied off Trump's unpredictability, when he spontaneously decided to start a trade war with the allies of America. This happens every week, because Trump only knows one way to deal with scandals, which is to start an even bigger scandal and hope everyone forgets about the previous one.

It's embarrassing for them to do the old habit.

When a super power country can not compete in free trade and a free market, then political persistence and self-closure are treated. They activated defensive mode.

No matter what America does, China has much more power to do what they want.
CIA, NSA & the alike think they are the best in the world but I would say the Chinese are the best, there's much more of them and know all of America's moves and even what's up their bums. They are just waiting for the right time to strike.

                  Sorry
But this is not a free economy at all
Economy shall manipulated by politics guys
So if American company wants to buy non American company it will be a no threat !!!
Honestly this is the pure Monopoly
No single American say anything when Ford had Aston Martin, Volvo, Mazda, Jaguar & Land Rover
Or when GM had Saab, Daweoo, Subaru, Suzuki, Isuzu, Holden & Opel

And for those guys who said no single big company can be allowed to merge or buy another big company
Check the history this is all unfair

Politics saving economy is just a shit model which opposes the free economy and free market

I was about to get comfortable, but Broadcomm will never see the light of day. Broadcom and Qualcomm are both different companies that serve different purposes, so it's better for the market to utilize both technologies from different companies than under one roof. Had they merged, I'd imagine the names for processors wouldn't be romanticized like they are now. Imagine the most powerful chipset, the Broadcom 555555555 with an Adreno 8282828282.

Put all the propaganda aside and think for a minute, when was the last time a massive corporate merger that made entrenched monopolies even bigger monopolies was actually stopped by the government as it should be, no matter how you want to spin this this is the best decision for consumers and other companies like mine that buy products form both of these companies

I was pretty much resigned this deal would be rubber stamped like it always and and I would have to deal with the fallout as higher prices and lower service, product line consolidation and so on, now its business as usual, I have choice to buy form either one, this makes my day, and I bet this is a totally unexpected surprise for everyone here

Now if they starting breaking up the banks and stopping bank mergers, he might start looking like Bernie, LOL, first trade barriers, now blocking monopolistic mergers, its like the old 60's left resurrected form graveyard of identity politics, I guess left and right come full circle at some point

The actions he makes regarding his companies and his business are pretty much his own (and people might hate him because of that), BUT the presidential ones ARE NOT. You've got to realize that presidents are puppets and they just sign and announce what they need to. Democracy is actually not working, despite what people think, presidential elections are pre-arranged, your vote does not matter, you are just being led to believe you have influence. No you don't, because rich and powerful people won't let you, me, or some average Joe mess up their work and snoop around, that's just how politics work, no conspiracy theories here. This is modern capitalist era, capitalists are running the world and its economy and pulling the strings, money is the driving force and the most powerful weapon, who has it, has the power. Everything that happens has the exact reason for it, there are no safety concerns, assumptions indications for this and that and what not.

Stop thinking you're the one who knows what everybody else should be thinking. Yes, it is his personality. It is his shady dealings. It is the fact that the few people he listens to when making decisions are the ones spending most of their time on hate speech and stigmatising ethnicity. You know, good old white supremacist fascists.
