It's disheartening.

Since Samsung A8 (2018) camera is mediocre, no 4k video capability with only 1080p/30 fps, this new Samsung A6 might comes with a better camera or maybe more worst. It is already 2018 and Samsung A-Series stucked with 1080p video recording? Come on Samsung, what a shame for you to ask for a high hefty price for that.
No OIS compared to previous generation Samsung A7 (2016) is a let down. Samsung A7 (2017) predecessor having not much improvement in the body of Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018). The only radical upgrade they has made would be its screen display which is Infinity Display with Full HD+.
We need big upgrades on A series and now it is almost 3 years for A series stagnant on specification.

Going by your conclusion, Specs and other tech jargon apart, they do need to peg in. Mini version of Galaxy series with best possible thrown in. I believe around 20-25 percentile clientele is lost on the issue of right size shape design etc. if it does'nt appeal to mind in the first place.
There is a need for such an android of compact size and worthy credentials. In India we could not get to use lay our hands on galaxy c5 pro even.
So a version like expected here should be more than welcome and a relief to us folks who desperately need one!

The chipsets of choice are disappointing and not up to current competition. And really, Samsung? Still using the Exynos 7870, with that crappy GPU in 2018? What are you smoking? Why is this chipset not declared obsolete very soon? It's been around for too much and has become a nuisance, plus there are many other better chipsets right now.

This is not even the worthy successor of A3 17 when the A5&A7 successor got Exynos 7885. Another Samsung dumb decision for releasing many phones (again)
