Huawei has set the benchmark for battery size and performance. 6 inch phones should all have room for a big battery, 3800mA or better. Batteries are a place where manufacturers should always go big. A mid size device, 5.1 to 5.7 device should have a 3350+ battery.

Nghtmare, 17 Mar 2018Yes but it also has a 6 inch screen, and according to GSMAr... moreYes, this.

I guess I am one of those people that dont like the screen looking like its going to pop of how bright they are. In my opinion it is good enough, and I love everything else about the phone.

Anonymous, 16 Mar 2018HTC as always, looks promising at first, but at the end wil... moreon a second taught i can live with this horizontal camera setup if it was just two camera bumps instead a module with a bad color, what i cant stand is absence of 3.5mm jack, i don't care about usonic because they easily could implanted both. like any other phone with both(HTC 10-samsung GSs and ....Usonic is just a matter of compatible headphones plus software interrogation with mics and headphones). I have always had HTC but this time no .... also sony XZ2 .... no ... because maybe Samsung does not has the quality i want but at least it has all things i want.

What? Did I see LG V20 or V30? This must be a joke. Right?

Nghtmare, 17 Mar 2018Yes but it also has a 6 inch screen, and according to GSMAr... moreI was all set to import the U11+ to use on T-Mobile here in the U.S., because I love BoomSound audio, and because of the huge battery. I was willing to overlook the LCD screen, because I don't game and I don't mess about with camera settings to take pics. I also wanted it after hearing that it was supposed to be the Pixel 2XL, but Google scrapped it, since I didn't like the current 2XL.

What kept me from really buying the phone was the fact that everyone kept saying that the screen is dim. I already have a Nexus 6P, and my one complaint about it is that I can't see the screen in direct sunlight. I always have to squint my eyes, cup my hand over the phone or find shade. That's annoying. Also, I didn't buy it because I couldn't find any rugged, MIL-SPEC cases to protect the phone.

To me, this is not a "Plus" model. If HTC can put such a big battery in TWO phones, why so small in this new one? I hated the HTC I had because of the crap battery life. A 3,420 mAh battery doesn't inspire me to buy this phone at all.

I have the 3T as well which according to them has better battery performance yet if I do the same thing on both to compare, the U11+ will have easily 25% more battery. Also if they downgrade the battery it will be a bad decision, I am against manufactures who reduce the battery with the excuse that the chip is more efficient, hell give us a more efficient chip WITH a bigger battery. They look like Apple sometimes I swear.

when u realize people cannot read...anonymous i was literally trying to give every single company the backing it needs or u didnt read it properly...n bruh have u even ever owned an HTC flagship phone?...n i dont have to own a u11 to let uk how great the device is...whether it be samsung, iphone, lg, google pixel or any other company, not to say they are bad, they make excellent phones but if u have ever owned an HTC flagship device that would have been released from 2016 to now, you would realize how great their devices are n its like i said, if you dont like what HTC releases as their flagship phone or any of the sorts, just go buy some other device simple

You say that the battery life on your U11+ is good, well that's partly because it's 3,930 mAh. The U12+ will only have a 3,420 mAh battery, with an sLCD screen, instead of AMOLED. That battery is A LOT smaller than the U11+. That makes it a huge downgrade.

One of the few (maybe the only?) 18:9 displays that has a front fingerprint sensor. I don't mind if the bezels are smaller, but there still has to be room for a camera at the top and a fingerprint sensor on the bottom. Common sense.
