Looks indeed like LG, but who cares? It's more important if takes good pictures, has good quality screen, good battery life, etc.

HTC is dispensable and peolpe prefere picking up a huawei flagships device, google pixel or even the oneplus 5T over HTC.
Even tho HTC has nice features, it's build quality was always a step down.
HTC should get back to basic fonctionalities, basic features, much like oneplus but cheaper than oneplus. That would boost the sales.
HTC is just digging their own grave bit by bit.
