No front fingerprint sensor? I'm out. Guess it's going to be the Honor View 10. Was hoping to go with HTC, as it's maybe a bit more of a reputable brand, but if this is the U12, the U11 will be my last (of 8 total) HTC device.

BUT front bezel color should NOT BE always BLACK .
It must match back color of the phone !!!
Otherwise front look so BORING AND STEREOTYPE !!!!!
M8 M7 M9 HTC 10 was GOOD...
BUT
HTC U11 front looks boring !!!!!!

HTC U12 must have same front color as BACK !!!

I dont know which world HTC is living. The time is gone when people used to pay a huge amount for many of the features less phone, that was the time when it was a status symbol to have a cell phone, but now it is the time when many of the Chinese smartphone manufacturers has took place of big Giants like HTC, Nokia and LG. But still all these companies dont even bother to have a sense what a customer is looking these days. They are very busy to manufacture over expensive phones which could not compete their Chinese competitors. I was a proud HTC user for 5 years from HTC explorar followed by Desire 816(dual sim) and then HTC M9 Plus prime camera edition. but now I prefer to go for a Chinese brand which is lesser in price rather than a brand with an over expensive smartphones.

I agree though, 3800+ would be the sweet spot. I'd love HTC to succeed, but they really need to do a V30/Samsung thing and tick all the feature boxes. No wireless charging, and no headphone jack is a poor choice.

Hope it’s fake. I wish it’s fake. Arrrrrrgh just make a design that was inspired by your old flagships like the M9.
The M9 is beautiful and unique why don’t you reincarnate it with new improvements but don’t get rid of the aesthetics! Instead of copying others.

To HTC I say...why don't u squash the low battery demond once and for all. I am sure they can put in a 4000+mAh battery to silence all the low battery critics like myself. Three of my main gripes with HTC flagships were...huges bezels, low capacity batteries and priced a lil more than should be.

i absolutely have my doubts about back of the phone, i believe HTC wont go for the ugliest dual camera setup that was tried and failed before, also i should see what comes out of dual camera, dual aperture plus boke plus optical zoom alongside sound zoom would make perfect setup ( which i do not expect but the more HTC delivers, it is more likely that people buy it), also 3.5 mm jack is vital for HTC to sell-remember how long they it is that they are focused on sound. also for me battery performance and heat management are vital.
