Still, as long as it doesn't look like an iPhone (and especially that stupid notch) I'm good. The previous design language, though, was iconic and was immediately recognizable. The XZ2 - not so much.
Now, there's one spec that simply cannot be ignored - the front camera. Why on earth did they reduce it to 5MP? Even the XA2 has a better front camera. If what I've read is true that they had to reduce it for the new design, then that's a failure of both design and specs. I hope that remedy this for the X2 Pro.
To me there's too much made over the top and bottom bezels - they're there so that people can hold the phone securely without triggering some app.

Looking at XZ2, XZ2 Compact they would better not to do it.

Imx400 will probably passed to XA3 ( if they keep the name).
Imx300 ( Z5, X Perf and XZ) has never been used by any other brand. The 23MP inside Asus Zen 3 Deluxe is another sensor.

Xperia XZ2 Pro definitely my next main device when released.. Right now I stick with my 8 month old Xperia XZP.. Sony smartphone is very2 good, I luv it!

This would be pointless without bringing back the jack. How is your phone that thick but you can't fit a jack? Because you want to sell Xperia earbuds that cost 160

October 2018 would the 10th anniversary of the Xperia brand. I would be unsurprised if this new phone is used as a hallmark of Sony's achievements in mobile phone technology since then.

They've shown off a new Camera sensor with dual lens setup. It has the ability of touching 51,200 ISO for still images and 12,000 ISO for videos. One may argue that the ridiculously high ISO means terrible amount of noise, and that is an undeniable truth, but numbers are to prove that camera will perform much better in low light than any of the present camera sensors on mobile. Introduction of new sensor will also open gates for other Manufactures to use the IMX400 series.
And Yea, even though high ISO will suck, think about capturing the things that your eyes are not even capable of seeing.

I can't wait for it, ever since leaving the iphone 8 for the sony XZ Pro i've been so happy and the updates actually add content like my phone asks me if I want to turn on my TV and play the last thing I watched on netflix or continue playing MWH on my ps4.

Wonder if screen is the only difference. Maybe bigger vibration system, 5.1 with external sub... 18+ gadget :)
I hope that pro got something more than just higher res screen, anything. Will be in ''999€lub'' for sure.

AnonD-743635, 16 Mar 2018"lack of room" is not the reason the xz2's doesn't have one.I'm aware of "that" reason. I guess Sony doesn't want the 3.5mm jack bulge like the Samsung phones of the past. That's the same reason why Essential omitted the jack.
