Having SD845 or Exinos its aproximetly same.
Its still SD845 in the phone plus that extra exinos from Samsung. Litterary Oneplus 6 would be as good as new S9 and dont have any exisnos. Same goes for Mi7. Exinos is just tottal waste of money spent on research and developement.
And most of the money its not the Samsung but the companies they pay to assemble the parts of the phone.
Litterary if you have an excellent coffee with sugar and milk you dont need to pay extra for a whipper cream, honey or crushed nuts as extra and the price of the coffee will grow ffrom 2 eur to 5.
On the other hand Samsung does litterary everytihng. Every appliance robot or machine you can have home it have a Samsung sticker on it. Computers, kitchenware, TVs, Hifis phones etc. Thats a huge production at at huge price and litterary on everything samsung earns from 300 to 500% profit. I agree if company earns something but this is pure robbery on sole customers. Dunno what else to say.

There are also steep development costs because they actually design everything, whilst others just source the components from someone else (read Samsung for many things). You don't support them, but the "alternatives" you buy from invariably will -- like it or not, Samsung is leading the technology field, and it's not by accident or chance. That costs money, having the technology that will only later make it to the rivals also costs money.

S9 to make cost samsung 320,25 dollars per one phone and selling price is almost 1000.
Thats not discout but price increase.
I understand that every company needs to earn money. But people at Foxconn company where most of the phones and brands are made live from aproximently 0,20 eur per hour. So everything samsung earns on every piece is used somewhere else. And sorry but i am not willing to spend even a penny on Samsung super expensive advertising where some movie star or theathre star etc promoting their devices for some millions of dollars paid to do so.

Difficult to make people buy similar looking mobiles henceforth for premium price tags(anything above $650 - certainly those which are above $850 plus tax).
I normally keep replacing mobiles have completely stopped for minimum 2-3 years due to similar features and almost same form factor(iPhone or Android)
I think people are not interested in new mobiles every other quarter!!
Especially, Samsung with so many new devices and accessories coming at fast pace confuse people which one to stick to at this price ranges!!.

Currently most new premium segment has lost Wow Factor.. Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Nokia facing same issue drop sale in premium segment..

That alone is giving Samsung the incentive to entice the masses with the S9/S9+. One thing's for sure, this deal beats out anything Apple busts out so this will possibly work.
