Older Android apps may stop working after Android P

anyhow to disable this notification? i have an old alarm application and since i updated to P it keeps nagging me up check for update which exist not..

There are ways of changing the api requirements of an app I’m honestly not even going to repeat it anymore it’s been said so many times yet low and behold somehow 90% of the community is ignorant and too uneducated to figure it out... you could literally take 5 seconds and google search it but instead 90% of you will continue to complain pointlessly about a non-issue that only affects you because you are too much of a mouth breather to s-end the minuscule amount of time it takes to figure it out... you people disgust me you are the type of people who have absolutely no value to society you take what you don’t know pretend that you know it all then regurgitate it all over the place regardless of whether it’s true or not. The fact that you can even stand to survive in this world and not have your population slowly diminish blows my mind.

Well. If you use old phone just download older app via apk.

This is what apple has been doing to the app store, they require developers to constantly update their apps to be compatible to the newest version, app store block download for apps that were not updated for a long time. the problem with android the newest version is not always updated to phones, at 1 year the newest version has an installation rate of about 2%

plus. I belong to the developers community, and I admit from the other side of the coin. If I am not informed about something important that I was supposed to know. I am not supposed to guess it. be wise, contact the developers and they'll gladly do their best to do what they can.

Clarification, 19 Mar 2018No, you have paid and used the app. Google takes no respons... morethat's correct. you should contact via EMAIL the developer that MADE the app and request to add support for future versions.

Yes, I still use Windows XP SP3, because still this is the best operating system. It was supported for 13+ years. But who cares about support or updates? They never should be mandatory. They should be just optional. I always disable updates everywhere.
Also, all phones with non-removable battery are garbage, throw away phones with short lifespan.
There is no reason to buy a new device or update the OS if the current one is working perfectly. Unfortunately most people are brainwashed by marketing and capitalism so they support planned obsolescence.

You can... moreOnly through an emulator, or do you really believe you can throw on the original sims and play with zero driver issues? It's not just windows that enforces this. Just like it's not just Google. There are hundreds of manufacturers and engineers who develop drivers and software that will have a lot of work alleviated once the support has been narrowed.

HAH! thats rich coming from a company that cant even push out software updates regularly. The S8 only just got Oreo, it probably will never get P. Android is an absolute mess when it comes to updates and this doesnt really help.

4.4.2 kitkat is fastest with less battery drain. Google is getting greedy .
Wants us to buy new phones more often.
Just like laptops , one day cell phones will reach to peak processor power and smile changes will happen and u can keep then same phone for more years just like u can keep laptop pc now.
