Older Android apps may stop working after Android P

Android P may drop support for apps made for Jelly Bean or earlier.

This is shame how can google can't realise that not all of the manufacturer updates their phones. I hope this won't happen. I hope that google can make a way.

          the phone companies must stop to change android versions for juts tell you after short time you must change your phone for two reasons! 1; battery non removable 2; software android version not working moore!! this is terrible action and must stop to do that!!!

            I knew that this will happen sometime in the future. Now this time has come. Digital planned obsolescence to force people to buy new phones.

                    i'm pretty sure that with the ample processing powers we have in nowadays phones there will come an emulation solution aswell

                      If you meant custom ROM, of course they are generally faster than regular firmwares as they tend to be bloat free.

                        Even on my old Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 ed. 2014 upgrading OS to 7.1.x was a huge boost in speed and battery life.

                          say you are using a phone with android P and you have have downloaded some abc.apk app which has API level 17 (jelly bean) then you will get pop up warning as this app doesnt support on android P.

                          if you are using jellybean os with abc.apk app then it wont be problem for you.. i hope you will understand now

                              4.4.2 kitkat is fastest with less battery drain. Google is getting greedy .
                              Wants us to buy new phones more often.
                              Just like laptops , one day cell phones will reach to peak processor power and smile changes will happen and u can keep then same phone for more years just like u can keep laptop pc now.

                                Dear Google, you seem to think you can force me to throw away a perfectly functional phone (please note, the common baseline Jelly Bean version is 4.1.2, NOT 4.2...) by forcing developers to stop supporting my phone for the sole reason of making me buy a new one. FYI you're wrong, you can't.

                                  Google going to be like Apple- "buy new phone or we won't let You use Your favourite apps" That's discrimination in my opinion.
