The problem was Gates and Microsoft Team didn't realize te potential of Mobility Gadgets until now...

Let's see if Microsoft takes the road again and make this ecosystem an Suceed.

They gets too many good hits around, XBox 360 is the most sold VG, Zune, Windows 7 Desktop and many more....

No one can predict that MS don't going to get more involved on their WP7 Software....only the future will show us....for now MS is moving in right direction.

Otherwise I believe M$ can force full 100% monopoly to all the world but it would show too much about links politics and large corporations (eg. sw patents, market dumping etc)...

          Android Is good but...

My previus phone was Nokia N900 and new one is Nexus S
I prefer Maemo insted of Android.

In Maemo I have 2 problem,Less App and Slow instaling progress.
With Android I have a lot of problem,

I think in the OS market for Phone there is much room to improvment.
and if WP can satisfy there user it can be successful

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2011You shouldn't condemn WP7 before it has even had its chance... moreMicrosoft has already had ONE YEAR to do something about their Platform. It is incomplete and tries too hard to be something new. Nokia is just losing and losing. In fact, the burning platform (Symbian) was set on fire by the traitor, Elop himself.

The best technology and interface should be invisible. The machines work for us, not the opposite. Those who understand this best, will stand the best chance of success.

The way i see it wp7 doesn't have apple's appeal nor androids flexibility. I see it as an iOS wannabe. For the near future or atleast another 2 generations of mobile handsets, android and iOS would rule.

Plus I cant use a device that tries to control me and forces me to abandon concepts like file management or user addressable storage. I mean this is a step backwards to the sixties. I would rather use an OS like android or S^3 or memo which gives me these freedoms.

Funny that.. Just like Nokia - you are going from one losing team to the next losing team. Just look at the market share for Nokia and Windows Phone 7.. WebOS dev's should move to more sustainable platforms like Android.

This is just a diplomatic policy of sponsoring and then copyrighting a product done by another individual.
Microsoft is making a good investment by taking this step.
