AnonD-145316, 27 Mar 2018Those guys who still can't stomach the fact that Huawei has... moreExactly. I am not a big fan, but they are really trying, with far less hardware issues and troubles. This innovation should be appreciated. To pack this much stuffs in that body is magnificent, an engineering marvel nonetheless.

"The first triple-camera smartphone uses its huge 1/1.73″ RGB sensor in conjunction with the 1/2.78″ Monochrome one to produce clear photos with very low noise"
But DXOmark says the P20 has better "Texture" and "noise" than the P20 Pro...

But at the end of the day the best camera is the one your carrying! Looking forward to GSMArena whether this closely stacks up against the likes of Samsungs or Apples or LGs..

Three cams on the back has needs to exclusively battery! Why not dual battery inside it..!?

You were cool on mobile scoring once DxOMark, but after your new parameter measurements every time a couple of companies releases a device (even if it's a dummy/prototype you grab onto or firmware isn't polished as a stable version) it's proportionally the new king of mobile photography... I lost my credibility in yourselves; you just blend in the market and stick with the ones who... well I don't have any kind of solid proof about that... but it's so obvious

After getting a DSLR every camera on a phone looks like a joke, no surprises there, but I noticed that the megapixel amount doesn't make any change, it's the sensors size which makes all the difference, while every photo by phones look "flat", on DSLR you get depth to your photos that no phone camera has yet to achieve, the moment manufactures will figure out how to get the sensor bigger, THAT will be a game changer, every camera now is an evolution and not a revolution, still my galaxy s8 takes amazing photos as a point-and-shot available in my pocket.

Have a look at the P20 Pro's artificial light portrait, or the bokeh test portrait, and look at full resolution. It looks like a phone camera photo from at least 6 years ago, and is a masterclass in bad processing: all low-contrast detail (hair, skin-tones, textures in clothing) smushed away to a watercolour by crude noise reduction and then the result oversharpened.

Now it's one thing for an early release firmware to have imperfect processing, provided they do something about it in updates. But why the hell DxO praised these shots, rather than calling them out for crude errors, I find very hard to understand, and it gives me very little confidence in their scoring.
