Ashura, 22 Aug 2011I diasgree.I belive there is no such thing as "growing... moreIdeas are not generated by super computers, but human mind.... This inorganic growth of Android has already created much disruption in the mobile world.... maybe for the better, but Android is a Disruptive Technology, just what Sony did in the early 80's with the Walkman, and Portable televisions.
One thing about these are, they change the way the market thinks, but cannot continue forever......(So Apple overtook Sony Walkman when they released the Ipod)....
Android will have the same fate... symbian is coming back...

I see a thoug battle between the OS, WP7 is getting also working n WP8 (Phones and Tablets) looks like Micrsoft is taking seroiusly the mobile market (at least)
And Apple is thinking in make iOS/MacOS universal for all plataforms desktop/laptops/ipod/ipad/iphone, that will be a huge impact for Apple in good sales.
Android need inovation. And I still believe there will be some any time soon.
For now...I'm impressed with Belle, lets see but this can give some Adrenaline shots to a Nokia....

You make your point, and is true....I even don't see WP7 on second soon, but they are doing a good work on it...

No OS... moreI never said WP7 will die. I said it's going to be second (as Android is first), and Apple will die because of their constant suing problems.
Whatever you say, UI changes aren't that important for the users. Functionality comes first, at least in my book. Has been like that for long. But since you are a Symbian freak(/lover), I don't wonder your way of thinking.

I hope not, that's the way Symbian took and now is in problems, besides iOS and WP7 cames full of new UI an new ideas for their OS.
Let's see what's on near future, but will be a nice fight between all the Ecosystems..

This will probably be ready in a few months. So don't get too excited. But I do wonder if the bulk of the programming work has actually already been done with the Anna update? Considering it is spot on, and stable, maybe Belle will be here sooner than we think?
I've tried Belle, and it is VERY good. Not quite up to iOS or but it would match them both if given some serious hardware.

No OS can be on top forever and in recent reviews Ice Cream Sandwich don't look as cool as is supposed to be, if this is true will be an easy KO for iOS against Android...even WP7 can win some adepts and gettin strong for beign a good ecosystem.
The update of Android maybe will be full of functional updates but stetical, UI and others is the same plain as ever. Maybe has too many devices around but Android is faaaaaaaaaaaar of beign perfect.
