AnonD-123, 22 Aug 2011Let me know how easy it is to move a shortcut on a Symbian ... moreHave you not watched any of the Symbian Belle videos? They show just how easy it will now be to rearrange icons, drag them between screens, move an icon 1 position up/down/left/right. It even goes so far as allowing you to specify icon positions for whether you're in portrait or landscape, so that way whatever way you have your phone, it displays your homescreens the way you want...I don't think Android even lets you rotate homescreen, let alone have user-defined layouts whether in portrait or landscape. shame they didn't have these updates a few years back, but still Nokia proves it can take heed from its rivals, and still put out something better than them :0)

AnonD-5449, 23 Aug 2011Sorry, but why are you talking about tropical conditions? I... moreI know Nokia is a Finnish company.. but I do not think they make phones for Finland only...same as Samsung doesn't make phones for Korea only....

Whatever, you say that it gets burning hot while playing games..... :P
600 Euros approx is a bit much for a toaster.. or you can make kebabs on it as well?

In Finland, the climate is not quite tropical. In summer, might be 15-35 degrees celsius, but in winter, -20-35. Not so tropical to me. Btw, it gets hot only if stupid people who can't use the phone don't shut off the apps they don't use. Gets burning hot only while playing performance demanding games, which I don't play very often, if at all.

AnonD-18949, 23 Aug 2011Yeah. And the Belle browser is so much better than the Oper... moreReally? What version of opera mobile are you using?!?!?!? I have Opera Mobile 11.10.xxxx on my Nokia N8, and I've had over 50 tabs open in it! 6 is pathetic in comparison...and that's a real gripe about the new browser...great in so many ways, but we need more tab freedom!

pointless comment, 23 Aug 2011Gotta say your comment is pointless.Who in this day and age... moreI am not rich.. my money is hard earned... I prefer to utilise the phone till it is usable...

So your statement I can derive a few points:

                  1. Samsung phones can only last max 2 years..and that is being optimistic..

                  2. People with enough money to throw away the phones after 1 year after spending around 400-500 euros buys samsung..

I am not those people..so I would buy a SE or a Nokia...

nokia donsaur, 23 Aug 2011why do all noka fanboys base there phone round the camera?A... moreI prefer to use a netbook to surf the web.... its faster than your "ALMIGHTY" android....
the basic idea of Phone is telephony. Nokia and SE are the 2 companies, who's reception is the best.... the camera is a important accessory of the phone.... for browsing web, get urself a netbook.

Not everyone needs to change his/her phone every 2 years... I like to use it till I find it is unusable.. for Samsung its 1-2 years MAX, for Nokia its more than 3-4 years.....

why do all noka fanboys base there phone round the camera?A camera is only a small part of a phone and features are more important. You cant surf the web smoothly using your camera can you.I use my phone for various things and have to say the n8 was the worst phone ive ever owned thanks to symbian. Its a move to android for me its so feature rich and does what i require so enough said.

AnonD-5449, 23 Aug 2011I wonder how some people get their phones cracked immediate... moreSometimes it is not the fault of the user but in the hardware/build quality(plastic/stainless steel), and the weather conditions. Some are not designed to last long in hot tropical conditions. You say 5 years-Nokia yes, Samsung no way, not even 2 years, used under the same conditions. Plus, I've heard of heating issues with Samsung S2, lol, now that's rather scary when the weather is 28 Celcius & above all year round.

So, as end user, I'm saying, Brand A can last, Brand B cannot,I use it the same way, the 'can last 5 years' brand is worth more of my money.

You're saying how great your Samsung S2, fine, it's your money. But since you're saying it in Nokia thread,I put forth the challenge, if I buy your great Samsung S2 & it spoils in less than 3 years, will you use your money to get me a replacement? No right? End of debate

However, the camera is good enough for me and I haven't noticed anything.

If you love the N8 camera so much, so be it. You don't need to tell me what's good. I can see it myself. You don't know what's important for me in a phone.
