lol, 01 Apr 2018ffs notch was introduced by Essential phones. not AppleYeah, but OEMs are doing it because Apple did it, not because Essential did it. If Apple hadn't done it, probably only Essential would have stayed with that.

I don't like notches and edges. Currently all new flagmans have one or the other, so people who don't like one of these won't buy phones.

First, Touchscreen.
Second, Fingerprint sensors
Third, Face Recognition
Fourth, headphone jack removal
Fifth, the ugly notch.
Some of these are iPhones firsts, but other companies should not linger in iPhone's shadows. iPhone sales are getting lower, guess some companies want to head that way too.

I hate the notch design thing!
no surprise that some others hate it as its a silly copy of a idea thieving(reinventing) brand.
I personally dont mind little top bezel but saying that I dont use selfie cam so i dont need a top bezel (r19!)
