For the XPERIA XZ and older high-end flagships, they only could only change the ISO and shutter speed individually in Manual Mode. But starting from the XPERIA XZs and newer high-end flagships, they can change the ISO and shutter speed at the same time. Actually, one good idea is to release the new Manual Mode to the older generation high-end flagships, and probably also tune the Superior Auto meant for them, it would be great if they release that at least minimum for my XPERIA Z5 and XPERIA Z5 PREMIUM though...

I still think it's mostly a gimmick on both, but kudos to samsung for better implementation.

In fact 0.2 seconds is enough to be very useful to motor mechanics, mechanical engineers, and other people who want to examine fast repetitive events.

Not like before that you set one, the other went auto.
It has EV, WB, manual focus, ISO, SS and many effects ( fish eye, black white, vintage, etc). And sub-apps like AR and others to download.

It lacks a lot of useful features, on some Sony phones you can't even change the iso and shutter speed together and not to mention the maximum shutter speed on Xperias is 1 second.. If you've ever used super slowmo on Sony you'll know how difficult it is to get the timing right because of no automatic capture mode.

But they dont say anything about iphone cam app, they must forget the you swipe on iphone too.
Now s9 cam app is a copy of iphone's. With the names of modes and you swipe to acess.

samsung slow-mo is a little bit fast compared to sony. sony slow-moving has an impact.

Dont sony have a video editor features as well? Past Xperia slo-mo have a video editor, open the video in Album app, touch, a video editor icon can be selected beside sharing option.
