LG used to be innovative. Loved it when they moved the buttons to the back. Loved it when they made the combined fingerprint/on button. Loved the wide angle cam.
Now Lucky Goldstar is back to embarrishing copying of lame designs like Samsungs bixby button disaster. Ergonomics of modern glass phones is so horrible already - adding more buttons to the side makes it even worse.

I have an Essential, and when the 'notch' area is black you have to be looking for it to see any appreciable difference - even in the dark. On a flagship quality LCD this is a non-issue.

As a G6 owner I won't buy a G7 for sure.
No bootloader unlock, no updates (still on Nougat), crappy interface. I mean, it was not as bad as most competitors, but still disappointing.
The only LG feature that I will miss is a wide angle camera. I wish other manufacturers used such lenses as well.

All of Lg's phones have issues with nand chips. The manufacturing process is poor. The soldering tin is at lowest possible quality and the process it self is at just at bare point of completion (bare as in ah soldering tin did make a contact with pins, shut it down shut it down. Im talking about 10000 part of a second by melting tin. Not even made a proper connection, done. No regard what so ever in will it work 2 years after. Every Lg phone has the same exact problem. Problems with memory chips where your whole Rom is. Bootloops, black screen, pink screen. The solution, change Nand chip. Make it right from beginning. Quality balls, take time in reballing etc. Never gonna buy LG. Dont want to spend money in poor manufacturing process so i repair it like it should be from the start. Thank god that there is alot of customers who have those problems so i can make some money

They want to position this phone competing with the S9+ including the price and the V30 against the Note 8-9. But it lack in features and updates. I can't see how they pretend sell the phone at that range, with the G6 they had an agressive marketing and discounts at the begining but later they died and look at the V30 cost. Have you seen any real one or only in internet? When you have low sales being LG and you have low sales, you are doing something wrong.
