Name should be G7 Think - because people should, in my opinion - think twice before buying it.
The notch just doesn't look good, and rest of the leaks... isn't promising either.
My first phone (dumb phone) was LG, then I had LG Cookie (dumb phone with bad touch screen) but those phones lived long and were reliable.
My first smartphone was Samsung, and I switched from it on some chinese phone and came back to Samsung. I had thoughts about going back to LG, but LG doesn't have anything to win me over.
LG is just falling behind, this definitley isn't right way.

Huge Samsung has left them behind. I'd rather see LG release flagships based on stock Android as this will be the only way to differentiate from Samsung's bloated skin.

I think you don't know about LG, They will never listen to customer, they will always try to copy from competitors, even if LG is having the best products, they will dump that best product to copy some shitty product from competitors. The clear example was for the 2016 LG OLED 3d television. https://www.change.org/p/lg-please-revive-3d-on-a-2018-oled-tv-model

The thing is, only Samsung can sell better than Apple without having to copy them.
Nokia and Sony aren't copying the notch (well, just yet) but people would pick something else like the P20 Pro over their current flagships, the Nokia 8 Sirocco and Xperia XZ2, respectively.

Samsung is so far, among the very few companies that are immune to the notch disease

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2018- non-removable battery = deal breaker - notch = deal brea... moreTicking every box, gives you a lot of breathing space. Is there a feature that the s9+ does not have? They can get away with that edge design, which seems to attract as many lovers as haters (I'm a hater), because all the other bases are covered. HTC were damned close with the V30, my favourite looker from last year, but their cameras and screen let them down badly. The battery life was good, the design was very ergonomic. I still consider getting one, at times. Then I go in a store and notice the screen burn. Same with the Pixel.

People need to stop moaning about notches. Majority of phones come with option to disable the notch via software, so it's no big deal really.
P20 Pro, Zenfone 5z, etc were some really good phones of Q1 2018. There's really no need to bash something good based on a singular issue.
LG made some decent phones last year so i have faith in them. :)

Add ThinQ to the G7 is not enough as we saw with the V30s ThinQ. If you are going to ask the price of a S9 or S9+ but offering tiny sensors and less features, you have a problem. The V30s ThinQ is like a ghost. You can find news about it but not where to buy the phone, perhaps because it was a big flop. Are they going to make the same mistake?

K : SD 435, 3GB, 32GB, 5" HD LCD, 13MP/5MP, 2700 mAh ( $120)
K+ = SD 450 , 3GB, 32GB, 5.3" HD LCD, 13MP/5MP , 2900 mAh ($180)
Q7 = SD 636, 4GB, 64GB, 5.5" FHD+ 18:9 LCD, 16MP/8MP, 3000mAh ($ 300)
Q7+ = SD 636, 4GB , 64GB, 6" 18:9 LCD, 16MP/8MP, 3200mAh ( $340)
G7 = SD 845, 6GB, 128GB, 5.7" QHD+ Oled, 16 + 12MP/8MP, 3400mAh ( $740)

LG seems to have lost the plot completely. I hope they concentrate on the ONLY 2 things that Matter:
1. The finest photo and video quality in a smartphone.
2. Fast and extremely smooth operation.
And since they could never develop the oomph factor, and because they are pretty down right now, maybe they should also consider:
3. Price.
The screen wasn't the best in the world, but it wouldn't seem so bad if the overall phone wasn't so disappointing.
It is EXCELLENT that the Mobile Division Head has been removed. All Top Management must Constantly prove they are worthy od their uber salaries. The saved money can be used for R&D and cost cutting, and for passing on the price benefit to the customer.
