Seems like LG are back playing catchup where as at one point they were trying things new. I must prefere the slimest bezel at the top big enough to fit everything on than a notch. or no bezel or notch and a mini screen on the back for selfies and notifications. This new lg phone will fit in with the crowd, which is a shame because with the delayed release it should have stood out from the crowd.

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2018- non-removable battery = deal breaker - notch = deal brea... moreI think riding on top or hanging off the side of a train to get a job is a deal breaker but lots of people still do it!

Except they didn't "Thinq" before coming up with this POS. Which is further proven by their deleted notch poll they came up with AFTER they already notchED it.

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2018I don't know why they didn't make a bezel-less phone, with ... morereally?? and have your device break down due to CHANCE of water leaking in like the S5. Sealed tight phones are where it's at. It just need to be priced great with some software features added to it's ultra fast UI. 2nd screen would be legit on the bottom where most thumbs would be and no need for an IR blaster. I'm sure no one really used it like that or cared, or even was fwlt blessed with one just because they are too lazy to grab a remote. because that thing was always inaccurate on phones. 18:9 is great. even better 18.5:9. Taller phones are easier to hold with one hand but still offer a pretty bug display. So as long as you're apps, widget, and the 2nd screen are on the bottom of the phone, the phone holds fine in the hand. With a great battery power users, or any users would prefer this set up. Battery packs exist and are more convenient than ever. Think about it, would you want to water damage your new G7 because of that replaceable battery and then have to buy another phone. You can argue the down sides of everything I mentioned, but the good outweighs the bad.

- non-removable battery = deal breaker
- notch = deal breaker
- 18:9 and 19:9 screen = deal breaker
- curved screen edges and corners = deal breaker
- no bezels = deal breaker
- no IR blaster = deal breaker
So LG G7 is a shitty phone. The only good thing in this phone is that it has LCD screen instead of the OLED with burn-ins or their Quantum IPS with image retention.
But if I didn't care about the above mentioned list (so if I was forced to buy non-removable battery, curved edge, etc. phone anyway), I would buy the Galaxy S9, because it's still better than the others (at least S9 does NOT follow the current bullshit trend in everything, it means it doesn't have notch, has 3.5mm jack and FM Radio (Snapdragon version), it also has the best camera and single core CPU performance (Exynos version)). But fortunately LG V20 is existing and it's better overally than any phone from 2017, 2018 and the future.

any how your design isn't bad but keeping the chin for the logo?
ether you put speakers in there or replace it with UI buttons like Samsungs home button or Apples bottom bezel
by the way V10/20 design is &$£$&÷*$€& XP
that is way they made the tall screen ;)
IR blast is TOTALLY important but 3.5 jack? ;:(
they take to much space
just join the 21th century and buy wireless headphones ;)
plus most low end phones have 3.5mm and you can buy cheap headphones for them
and since you can buy a flagship then buy wireless headphones for them
and the price?!!! 500£
even ONEPLUS have became pricer
STOP LIVING IN A DREAM before your wallet PUNCHs you back to reality ;'0
if you don't like the price the make it your self
"oh no I wanted more money let's increase and see the results ;)"

AnonD-744321, 03 Apr 2018this is for people how hate the OLED notch
the NOTCH is us... moreI don't know why they didn't make a bezel-less phone, with the LG V20 design. With a 16:9 screen and that second screen.
Small bottom chin, with company logo. Cos unless you got hands like an orangutan, you ain't gonna get to the bottom of a 5.7" screen without moving the phone.
Keep the removable battery and storage, and the dual cam setup. And don't even think about ditching the IR blaster or the jack.
Slap a £500 price tag on it...
Boom! You've got yourself a best seller.
Power users will love it.
Even average users will love it's design.
Just think of the V20, without the top and bottom grey bars and side bezels.

based on this article, every device released by LG should expect a newer update after roughly 1 year and 2 months...there must be very few people left on LG software development department or, poor people they are forced to develop useless "notch" just to expect to receive a good review when in fact they should focus into keeping their current customers happy.

Sony, Samsung and Nokia are only companies left. I accept notch on Apple, Sharp and Essential because they had originality. Without notch you get around 85 stb ratio with it will still be 87-88 because it has a chin.

this is for people how hate the OLED notch
the NOTCH is used to display the notification better than an LED at the end what would you like
1 LED flash with 8-16 colors or
about (140×140)×2 16 MILLION color touch sensitive OLED flashs?
there is NO problem in an OLED notch it allows you to use 18:9 of the screen will display notification at the same time with out risking the battery life
and even better if you use the bottom UI display like iPhone X
this way you can have "NOTCH" and "CHIN" working together to replace the useless bezels
the problem isn't in the "the notch" the problem is it's reputation how?
people don't like two things in spacial:-
1) brands trying to trick them with lies like "FULL VIEW" or "BEZELESS"
2) being ripped off by copycats
some brands are locking for an excuse to call there phones "BEZELESS"
now we ALL know you can't use thr notch to display video or games like IPHONE X
you are probably saying "NOTCH SUCK >:( because you can't watch videos or play games with it"
will you can't do any thing about it just accepted what you have (or with android P we may have notch supporting apps like IPHONE ;)
this is the REVOLUTION you can't stop just skip the burning parts
first tall screen now notch then what?
cutting of the bottom bezel?
just jump to total bezeless?
do you know way they didn't? because they don't have place for camera,mic,sensor,etc....
if you put everything under the screen it will be to thick (pop up selfe for example) and sound quality will be terrible and other
soon it will all be fixed and full screen will see the light
when people make something good but is has some problems the make something new
have you heard of :-
need is the mother of invention
you probably you don't I transliterated for you
any how who ever thought that touch screens could "see the light" ?
it all started when someone said "some one have invented touch screen it is better than buttons let's use it but let's keep some buttons just in case"
TOUCH screen BEGAN
"oh no the screen is to small to watch videos let's make it bigger"
THE RULE OF THE BIG
"now they have big screens and low resolution"
RESOLUTION WARS
"buttons are using to much space we don't need big bezels nor buttons"
BUTTONS EXTENSION
"now they haven't got space for notifications"
tall screen REVOLUTION
"now with tall screen supporting apps we need more space let's use some of the upper bezel"
NOTCH APOCALYPSE
right? not really
you can except it or wait for....
FULLSCREEN UP RISING
maybe you get to live the
AGE OF AR LENS
in our war against the "bezels" all I can say is:-
#don't fight the bezel make it fight for you ;)
