Nokia was king of smartphones starting from the communicate in early 2000s and up till N series and E series started in mid 2000s
In fact, even by 2011 Nokia was the king of smartphones with the N9 which Stephen Flop refused to market. Just go to Youtube and check the videos as a refresher. The Galaxy S2 is laughable and the iPhone was lacking so many features, it wasn't even funny.
The WinPho series, while a commercial failure due to its difficult user interface, still allowed Nokia to make decent phones. Nokia Lumia 620, 720, 920 and 1020 were some of the phones in the market but the OS made them unusable because of which they failed.

I can link my Gmail to Yahoo, use LinkedIn with one drive and one note to remind me of meetings. Million people use Allo and duo while billion use WhatsApp messenger. Besides I have play store on my phone bought from China, can you please contact Google to ask me to delete it? You see Google wants it's services in as many hands as possible, they don't care about device origins, that's why they pay apple billions to make them use Google search

After this Google took features from them. Do you really think all ideas for ROMs come from thin air? You see there are more feature laden ROMs in XDA than with any other company. TouchWiz copied an open ROM in two swipe sequence for notifications. You do realise that a team of 100 or so professional UI UX designers, no matter how organised they are would never be able to keep pace with thousands of free lancers in XDA, without developers, there won't be Android in first place, it probably would have been a BB clone running on qwerty devices till now...

It'll be fun to watch. You listed 4 useful apps. Now instead of Gmail what if I use Yahoo or Outlook, instead of gdrive, I use Dropbox and one drive, instead of that allo and duo I use default messaging app and WhatsApp. I prefer office suite to Google's version. So yes they are bloat. Google knows it that's why they launched Android go, where they reduced required gapps to 8 or something

Most of the miui built in apps are useful and if you think otherwise then its your problem. if you are happy with Nokia and Moto just buy their devices.
there is nothing to be gained by spreading hate about xiaomi as 200 million miui users are not going to sell their devices just because you hate it.

At first August 2010 Miui was just a blatant 1 to 1 copy of IOS it had nothing.
Miui just kept copying and adding features as time progressed anyways it's a natural progression of a clone os.
Android has also developed over time dude seriously are you sane have you looked at what Andy Rubin had developed and what Android is today.
Regarding bloat I am Ok with google bloat because with most of their apps are useful and people use them in their day to day life .
Most of their apps like YouTube , Maps , Search , Play store , etc etc don't have better alternative .
Btw I can live without Xiaomi Bloat because their apps are all clones of other apps and are useless.
Yes you can introduce Android with your own phone but you can't use play services and if you don't know one will buy your phone because everyone is addicted to play services , The most irritating part will be that you can't even sync your contacts .

And if you do Try to flash Gapps and sell the phone google will first of all not allow the people that have bought your phone to log in as they will be uncertified.
Secondly they will sue you because you don't have a license to use play services.

Besides Google didn't develop android themselves you see the name android is due to Andy rubin ( guy behind essential) he released also source code for community, Google happens to be making most of that. Anyone can develop on aosp without caring one bit about Google (search secure phone) gapps themselves are a bloat. Most people need 7 , why bundle 13-14 apps on stock android in first place? They can't be uninstalled. I wonder why isn't that classified as bloat? And Google can't sue me if I release a ROM without gapps tomorrow. Android is what it is due to developers, Google knows it very well that's why they demand company to release source in 2 months of device release ( most companies violate it including Nokia) by alienating that community, no manufacturer Can hope to gain market share. Besides need I list feautures touchwiz copied from Miui or other open source roms? Or Google doing the same?

Tell me one thing which is original in Miui.
They have copied Samsung's edge shortcuts , Basic layout without the app drawer is from iphone , control center is from the iphone , Full Screen display (Gestures to navigate) is a copy from Iphone which in turn is a copy from sailfish os , Split screen is from Samsung , Mi drop is a clone of Air Drop, Even the first ever Touchwiz phones and HTC phone were able to be themed by using mods so Miui copied that also, App Vault is a Copy.
The whole OS itself is a clone.

Anyways I don't think you understand that google spends money on developing Android you think every new version of Android miraculously falls from the sky into the Aosp dump.
There is no brand out there today that supports it's phones for longer than 2 years when it comes to Android version updates.
I know Xiaomi updates their phones for very long but that in case of Miui Updates not in Android version updates most Xiaomi phones don't even get 1 Android Version Bump up let's say they release with Nougat there is hardly any chance that they will get Oreo just the Miui version keeps chaining.
Before Miui there was touchwiz , Samsung experience is just an evolution of Touchwiz.
HMD dosent have the permission to use Preview and other trademarks they are not a part of the deal.

Yep, 7 Plus will be good smartphone, good processor, good battery in mah, maybe camera also (for the first time in HMD-Nokia phone) :D

as someone who knew Nokia before let me ask you, did lumia 800 have best camera? did lumia 900 have best camera on market? answer is easly no, third lumia flagship 920 did have one of the best camera, even old Nokia needed time to deliver, why expecting HMD to deliver in just few month?
just look at Nokia 7 plus and you will see how fast HMD is catching up, probably best camera in midrange now. And rumored penta lens shows HMD is still old Nokia they still experiment weird designs, Neither Samsung Nor Apple will experiment in their flagship something like this.

Mi2 has security update dated November 2017. That's for a 5 year old phone. As long as security and miui updates are there Why worry about OS updates. Don't think a 5 year old stock Android phone (Samsung galaxy Nexus or maybe Nexus 5 AFAIK) has security updates at all. You probably don't know how to switch to miui beta I suppose, coz if you did, you'd realise that most of the features have been in testing far before they are released... And just for your information, Miui on Redmi 5 is on March security update. April coming next week
