I used to be a Nokia fan, i hope they become the king once again. However, at the moment, even One Plus 3 is better in a lot of way. Im still happy with One Plus 3T and it's stilll awesome.

But to make the same phone but with another system and brand, only a knock off brand can do, that is also why are cheapper, cheap labor (most probably, boat made devices), no developement, no research and no design. No marketing strategy, cause their design was already brought to the table and Millions of dollars were spent on it, by other brands....of course. So nope, it is not about value for money. It is about respect for labor, repect for brands that actually research and at the end, the quality of the end product. Somebody that has no respect, yeah, might be verry proud to buy cheap crapp. But that does not mean, everybody will pay for a knock off. I my self, will always have respect for labor. And the more a company pays it's workers, the more i support it.

          But it doesn't mean they dont spend on R&D.

          Xiaomi started as apple rip-off. But over the years it has evolved better.

          And internet is free to use so anyone find things that apple, this new nokia, samsung, lg others copied. So please stop degrading others

                Never owned a China noname device but knows the quality of them so well.
                I have Leagoo for something half a year and yes it have faults but for 100 euro i have lots of good other things too. Like Type-C charging. 5.5 inch FHD screen, 3GB ram and 32GB storage. Yeah it runs on a MTK 6750T that is something like SD430 or so.

                In the box was cover and protection film plus even headphones that quality isnt that good but at least they have added them.

                For Nokia these are expenses that you need to add over the price of the device cause they are not included in box as standard.

                When something is made in China and resembled in China then it will be still "MADE IN CHINA" Better quality standards hardware or not but it's still made in China for a reason to get more profit.

                And security updates i dont care much as when someone want to hack me then these security updates and droid updates have no value. These security updates wont stop a hacker in any way. They may make it harder and more time consuming but that will be it.

                There is nothing hack proof today and it's basically impossible to make something hack proof.

                From guarantee point on Nokia i had 3-4 months ruined last year cause they fixed one thing and then ruined other. I didnt get money back or new device so i dont see quality in there support too.

                None of brand names offer good harware for low price like Xiaomi, Meizu and Huawei.
                Cant add LG or Sony in the mix as these are already brand names and there low end is really low end with higher price's then Xiaomi, Meizu and Huawei.

                Life wont stop when you dont get updates on your phone. You still can make calls, browse the net and play games with no problems for the 2 years when you replace it with newer hardware and newer version of droid.

                Even my Leagoo dual rear camera do decent pictures even with my shake hands and no knowledge of photography. While you set your made pictures in instagram or facebook they get downscale anyways. If you want quality then you buy a mirror camera to make quality pictures. You wont get that quality from these 1-2mm diameter lens with software quality fixing.

                    Do you think Foxconn makes the same quality of phones for Apple , Nokia and Infocus .

                    Apple is designed in california and Nokia is designed in Finland these designs are then sent over to foxconn that manufactures phones according to its vendors specification.

                    So the difference in quality of Nokia and Apple Phones produced by Foxconn and Chinese Knockoffs manufactured by Foxconn are of different levels.

                    Chinese Phones use the cheapest possible Components they find on the market.

                    Apple designs everything to the screws even the Minute details which are present in an iPhone.

                    That's the reason we have all these Clone Companies ready to copy every design element even to the antenna bands whenever a new iphone is released.

                    Foxconn is an ODM it's not a OEM.

                          well..... Nokia missed the pricing mark by a loooooong margin. We can expect 2018 flagship devices like Mi Mix 2s & OP 6 for around 40k. Common Nokia be sensible and price it properly we want you back in top rankings again.

                            Mi Mix 2 was a Flop so they went back to their copying board to copy the iphone camera module for Mi Mix 2s so they can get better sales.

                            Mi 7 will be coming with a Notch which has been copied from the Iphone X.

                            Mi a1 Is a one to one clone of iphone , Redmi note 5 Pro back is a complete iphone ripoff , the redmi 4 was an iphone ripoff , Mi Max was Ripoff.

                            Curved back was a Samsung ripoff , Bezeless display was a sharp ripoff.

                            No Wonder this Joke of a company is known as the Apple of china.

                            Even their software is a ripoff they even copied the edge shortcuts from Samsung , they copied the Control Center From Apple the list is never ending as goes on

Even more than One Plus now. Nokia can't be Tier 1 when they even doesn't have distributors, stores and customer service points spreaded around de world. So as Oppo and Vivo, Nokia pretend be a pseudo Tier 1 but only in price.

                                  Well nokia 1 is over priced as nokia 6, Nokia 7+ is ok
                                  But nokia 8 Sirocco have last year hardware its should have little cheaper price.

                                    So many noobs here comparing Nokia with Xiaomi, really funny. Xiaomi is a cheap chinese brand for cheap ppl, so if you cannot spend more than 20k for a smarthphone you should stick with Xiaomi or Oppo & Vivo. Nokia's competition is with LG, HTC & Sony. Even Oneplus is a low level brand for Nokia. Tier 1 brand is Iphone & Samsung. Tier 1a brands are LG, HTC, Sony & now Nokia. Tier 2 brands are Huawei, Oneplus & a few others. Tier 3 brands are Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Micromax etc. So stop complaining Nokia phones are lot pricey than Xiaomi, if you can't spend 25k for a midranger, you should stick with a 15k MiA1 or Redmi phones.

Its working perfectly fine for me and the people I know who are using latest Miui 9 update. Battery drain issue is completely irrelevant for me as I am consistently getting 2 days battery life with medium use. There are phones with 5000mah battery and cant live a complete day. Also I dont know how u gifted your sister redmi pro 1 year ago as it launched 1 month back. Try harder maybe.
