yeah S5 mini too, works but supported by very basic samsung apps like gallery, calendar, file manager, music player - fun to use and shame that they abandoned it

Removing SD card for more water resistance as well. In case of flagship having 128 or 256 GB disk space is more than enough unless you have a lot of adult industry i phone :-)
In case of prices if we look 20 or 30 years back phones cost much more than most expensive flagships now.
Non-swapping batteries was also good because it solved many things people did and they shouldnt but thats the long story what, when and why.
In case of Android Samsung came with Superamoled and IRIS Scanner.
Motorola have its motomods, Huawei comming with own OS having OWN CPU and GPU.
Vivo came with underscreen fingerprint scanner.
And there is lot more.
In other words Android or companies using android renovated or bringed much more ideas to the mobile phone technology or industry than apple.
And in case of Apple nobody copy its OS.
For the rest apple is like to copy everything else because they think they can.

Anyway ... moreSince time stood still when Jobs passed, how about Android? If anything, why is Android following Apple's lead by removing features like SD card expansion & 3.5 mm jack, adding notch, raising prices of flagships, or batteries that cannot be swapped?
Android in 2018, is the laziest and most unoriginal group ever, bash iPhone but at the same time copy them shamelessly; practically almost every OEM flagship took a cue from your much deeply hated Apple.

Anyway it means apple is lazy company which stands still from time Jobs is gone.
All of their few major improvements is way the apple X looks and the notch.
Rest is just few upgrades over something that existed long time ago.

So many blind haters, this feature is old and actually debuted on the Samsung Note series with their stylus hover feature since Note 5. You wanna bash Apple , better bash Android too then

And then Android fanboys would come out and say this feature is garbage, yet Note users didn't mind it. Same thing for Apple. At the end, Android fanboys are blind deluded basics that just likes to go around making people (even their own) feel bad.

I do not see a lot of value or pulling power to create touchless gestures. You may as well touch the screen being so close to it. It would take much more concentration to hover and not touch. Why bother. Waste of energy for the sake of just having a feature.

But now, its crappy, buggy. At least for 2 running generations. And sometimes new stuff override old existing useful features. IF they had SO much TIME, they should have tested old with the new, instead of SOOO many updates.
Auto hotspot tether hardly works now.
iPad smartcover ease of use.. override by TouchID without option of tweaking.
Hardware Keyboard auto repeat override by accented chars, without option of tweaking.
Control center toggles have weird behaviors that differs from settings.
First release GM build, BUGGY as hell.
And other thing. They will MILK you DRY first.. before releasing anything new (Which THEY are perfectly able to do it) See Mac mini, iPad mini, Mac Pro etc etc all stagnant.
For this touchless gestures... i strongly believe it will conflict with their 3D Touch feature.

Samsung always advanced in technology but mostly were gimmicks whereas Apple always behind in technology but mostly were innovation( as what apple fans said ) I do get it, apple is a bird and Samsung is a worm.
