I remember that a few months ago they did something similar in Spain. They were giving away like 10 phones (honor 7 i think) every hour for an entire day. It was obviously very difficult to get into their website during the first minutes of every hour due to the high traffic. The trick was that even if you were one of the fastest ones to get the phone into your shopping cart, at the time of confirming the purchase they had a broken link in their website (it was easy to verify this in the html code).
It was certainly a scam. They just wanted to market the brand and they acomplished it since so many people were talking about the flash sale in twitter.

There's no point trying to buy on a flash sale like that, the ones who get them are either employees themselves or people using bots.

Only one second it will be sold out. If you try it, don't complaint if did not get it for $1.
I rather stay away from flash sale like that.
