I'm not an Apple fan, but anyone with half a brain will have to admit Steve Jobs was a major player in all the fields Apple was involved in.

To him, my most sincere wishes of a quick and full recovery. All the best.

PS. Trolling and bashing are not nice under any circumstance, and even more unsavoury in article such as this. Shame on you trollers and bashers.

AnonD-7168, 25 Aug 2011Retirement of Steve Jobs means, the end of rapid technologi... more That has to be the most ignorant comment from a iZombie ever.
First off, Every phone has a OS, Yes even the monochrome graphical phone that your grandma uses. Even a microwave and dishwasher has Operating System in it.
Second, Steve Jobs is a visionary and his vision is to milk people of all they are worth by over hyping products.
Steve Jobs is not the founder of apple, he used to work for a company called NeXT. When he joined apple to be the co-founder Jobs bought the software form NeXT to apple.
Steve Jobs and Woziniak, made a game for Atari for which Atari gave him and his partner to split 50-50 as contracted. Jobs told Woziniak he only got only $700 and gave him 350 and kept the rest. Also Jobs denied paternity on his first child, claiming he was sterile.
LG made the first full touchscreen phone, not Apple.
Personal computers were made by IBM and Machintosh not apple. Apple did not invent the mouse, IBM did.
Sony made one of the first mp3 players not Apple. And Napster, Kazaa and other p2p shareware were there before iTunes to get music from.
I am not an android fan, nor do I own any android products. I am a computer science students with cold hard facts. Until you know your materials I would have to ask you to refrain from coming up with major BS and personal assumptions just because you like Apple. There is not thing wrong with Apple, nor is it bad to like them or be a fan of them. but if you are going to come up with arguments at least do some research.

Sorry, couldn't help but notice the irony in your opening sentence.

You are asking another user to spell correctly, perhaps you should take some grammatical night classes. In the context you were trying to adopt, TO is used as To, not TOO.

Good luck with the rest of your argument.
I hope you have a great night.

Well, Apple's shares were crap before iphone was released. Afterwards they doubled, but that's still nothing extraordinary. Then, when iPhone 3Gs came, the shares went crazy and the iPad only toped up the craziness. The truth is this whole company has always been a balloon - its shares are based more or less on a single product (iphone goes down->ipad will follow and vice versa)and payed articles. Nice marketing tricks, but nothing realistic. I just feel sad for people, who bought shares for 250 Euro and won't sell them before Nov-Dec this year.

What a lot of bitter, sad, ill educated comments.

A man has stepped down from his role due to health problems and all you can do it hate.

It's a sign of the times when consumerism turns into a hate fest.

Android has clearly overtaken iPhone by a big margin. Efforts to catch up seems bleak. Perfect timing for Steve to step down. So that it will be written in history that iPhone's decline was "due to Steve's resignation".

                                        Very clever. Bravo!
