Merwyn Fernandes, 11 Apr 2018Good Joke. Chinese Government Owns Most of their Brands ... moreI'm talking about democracies, whats point of citing china and russia and uae with different model of working. You are giving example of crocodile as a walking fish dude. Public sector means government or state has stake in it. India has SBI and such banks, dont think they are technology companies. Besides I haven't heard of america owning apple like the guy i replied to thinks. I havent heard any public. Giving boost to local production is fine, but just a small example from me : to make a phone requires processor, resistors, PCB and Stuff, For that, there needs to be a foundry, which Even US has about 2 of those of commercial value which cant ek out millions of processors as per orders. It requires lot of investment to have those dude. And thats a single component. Scale it to hundreds of things and you'll get an idea of how difficult that is

Anonymous, 11 Apr 2018I dont think any goverment owns any brands, unless you talk... moreGood Joke.

Chinese Government Owns Most of their Brands and Companies or Aleast has share in them.

Russian government also owns many Companies.

Every country owns companies like Abu Dhabi owns Man City and Qatar Owns PSG.

Most public sector Companies and brands in every country are owned by their specific government.

Even companies that have chances of going bankrupt are supported by the government when they buy shares in them.

Very smart business practice. Xiaomi is investing in the people of the region. Putting money back in the regional economy, building pride in the product there. And they're rewarded by the people reinvesting in the company.

Next thing we know they'll be exporting those goods globally.

But when best brains go away to pursue better prospects, whats the point of that? Besides, manufacturing at least is better than doing nothing. It was about about supporting our own economy and I do think we have the talent and potential to do that.

                    NASA may require Citizenship.

But Google , Microsoft and 100s of other companies were Indians are working are all immigrants they don't need to be citizens so we have our good share of brain that is behind innovations.

Anyways I don't need times of India to know about economics I am currently pursuing Masters in HR and LL so I have done a lot of case studies regarding this topic.

And your statement is the exact thing I was talking you are just trying to put down your own people.

To work in NASA you require to be a citizen of states. Besides NASA rarely releases it's employees country of origin. It did once and a figure of close to 3 percentage came out, even those were indian origin, not citizens. They're developing their economy more than ours

Through foxconn they employ around 10000 ppl the same no of people that Mc Donlads employs in India.

We have companies like Infosys , Wipro , Tata Sons , Hidden , Aditya Birla etc.

So if they close their doors we have plenty of our own Companies that will support them you don't need to worry about that.

No company invests in a foreign country without heavy profits so it's more for the company than the country.

We have a 37 billion $ trade deficit with china the same money can be better used for developmental activities.

If you don't have a sense of economics don't write anything random.

I think we are capable enough of making our own brands and supporting them.

We have the highest no of people working in NASA , Google and Microsoft.

Don't think it's hard for us to create a brand ourselves.

One thing we don't have when compared to others is the sense of self belonging and supporting our own.

Rather we are fighting for someone else.

                            LoL.

India doesn't produce very cheap quality products as some Chinese manufacturers. Indian products don't fall beyond a certain quality level they try to maintain a standard. But in case of Chinese products you can get it in all ranges of quality from the worst to the best. Most mobile phones sold here are created for Indian market, so Xiaomi, Nokia and some phones sold here are made in India.

You get what you pay for. Let it be China or India. Indian electronics is supposed to be of higher quality than of China from days of start of electronics itself. Where did you get a defective Indian electronics product. I'm really curious to know. We have been internationally using electronics manufactured in India worldwide over 10 years of history. Please educate me if my work experience is less than yours.
