Ohm, 10 Apr 2018Interesting, now for change a simple battery or other thing... moreActually you will need either an Ultrasonic or Fusion welding machine.
I understand the pain of fixing it, it'll score very low on iFixit repair meter.
But you cant deny it's a beautiful design.
If they used Sapphire or ALON (Aluminium oxynitride) instead of the outer glass; that would fix its fragility.

Boy someone must've had a stroke when designing this. There's no other explanation.

Very nice looking phone... that would last less than one day in my use untill one or two of those class Fronts will just die...
Very fragile but Also good looking phone. Not bad for ”show” item.

glass corners actually look ok and remind of an LG OLED tv with the glass extending out beyond the panel.

the bottom notch is just embarassing

"Unibody Glass that looks like an ice"... It's all shiny and pretty until it drops and fractured... just like an ice once again. Pardon the terrible pun.

Yeah the two notches concept is actually practical (houses front-firing speakers) but that unibody glass... It's too fragile and I can't bear impractical things

kmb877, 10 Apr 2018Just wondering myself... if you are considering this design... moreI'm laughing because it's hilarious that they're competing of who makes the first notches and double notches instead of innovating. As a matter of fact they can, but they're choosing the easy/cheap way and say it's innovation. The real innovation was the VIVO Apex concept and I think that VIVO is going to release it next according to the big success it had.

O S, 10 Apr 2018Laser cutter to the rescue.Interesting, now for change a simple battery or other things we must buy an affordable-available laser cutter plus a microwave welding machine. And if you mess up cutting then put new parts. Wonderful. Or pay de transport, agency, insurance, etc, plus an expensive repairation at the manufacture's official service.

Definitely Apple, Samsung and other brands are going to go for this insurance, is to force you to use your technical service whether you like it or not, even out of warranty. Thanks ZTE, they found a diamond vein. We will soon see this on all flagships and mid-premium range phones if not end in all ones.

They should put a screen on the back of the phone too, that way they can have 4 notches.

But still, you gotta give ZTE props for trying all the crazy stuff. Nowadays it feels like they're one of use only few brands left which try to be different.
Plus it'll probably still look better than the pixels XD
