It´s all down to perference, if someone prefers Andriod or IOS then so be it - what do you have to gain from trying to tell them otherwise?

iPhone is not simpler than Android. On the contrary, using iPhone is more difficult because you have to find workarounds for basic and essential things that you can do in Android but not in iPhone, for example managing files.
Android has simple user interface. It's just that additionally Android has options to customize everything. You have the choice, but you are not forced to do it. You can use Android like an iPhone, without customizing anything.

And 90% of the parents are dumb enough to buy it for them. Really how old are you? Do you even have kids? If you are going to comment on the post open your eyes and look at the devices that the kids in your neighborhood are using. If they are using an iphone 5, 5s, SE, 6 or 6s its probably was purchased when it was first out and is a hand me down or a referb. I am using the store I work at to base my knowledge, as I get 10 to 20 iphones in a day to repair. What are you basing your knowledge on?

I used to hate iPhones (actually I still kinda do but not as much these days). They are good, fast and regularly updated devices that just work, which is perfect for teens and people that want a reliable and consistent mobile experience. With that said I could see myself owning one again (first smartphone I ever had was the iPhone 3G) in the not too distant future but I'll have to wait and see how much iOS progresses first.

off course - apart from pixel there is no android who performs better in real life(not saying in review). I have Note 8 - its kinda smooth but thats in samsung family. Often I saw if I tap a notification - the app opens like 4/5 sec. later. Also the screen looks really great and then ? inconsistent UI. Some app drawer with diff shapes of icons looks horrible. Google tried to make 2 layer icons with adaptive icons - but most of the apps does not support that. low light camera is horrible .. and the list goes on..
no wonder as soon as next gen iPhone comes out I am out of this mess ..
