This totally explains the rise of the iPhone clones, spoiled, privileged, rich kids...

The amount of sour grapes from the Android crowd here is astounding. Like most normal people think, take your opinions and shove it. People like what they like. The Android people here are the ones who go to a party or gathering and put their phones on the table hoping someone will say something about it because they have nothing else to talk about.

Yep these are the spoiled american kids that are on this expectation list. If these kids had to foot their own bill they wont be asking for silly crap. I am not saying that Iphone x isnt a good phone but honestly what 13 yr old needs an iphone. Its just parents feeding into the ME generation. I just have one question to ask "Why does a child need a $1000 phone?"

Anonymous, 12 Apr 2018Because there are not 50$ iPhones...This is a good point. It's so much cheaper to be an Android user, iPhone has a high cost of admission.

Well back in in 2007 high school, iPhone had more weight as status setter. Now everybody follows, as mentioned, messaging trends, if you friends has it, you can't be alone with Android phone around :)

MarcioR, 12 Apr 2018Iphone not being close to android? Stop being delusional. ... moreFair enough - the X is by all means a great phone; I was kinda in a rant mode. However, I should have clarified in my previous statement that Android is typically the much better value for money (as obviously proven by your OP5T - that's currently my dream phone).

The reason they prefer it is because its popular. They have no idea the power Android has and frankly, they don't care. If you built and android phone and slapped an apple logo on the back they would say they like it. Half of the iPhone user don't even know what phone they have. I work at a small tech shop in a university and countless times a day I have to tell the customer what phone they have so they can buy a case that fits it.

I myself own a Oneplus 5T which is one of the fastest and smoothest Android device till date.
And a friend of mine owns an Iphone X and i can see it's almost on par with my device in terms of multitasking and gaming.
Despite not being an Apple fan i have to handle it to Apple, it's an awesome device and Iphone is still the fastest device around.
You saying it's not even close to android just proves that you don't do your research correctly or you don't have any friends who have a recent Apple device.
                      Stop spreading bull pls

It's the parents I feel sorry for.

I, frankly, cannot understand why the iPhone has become such a symbol. It is not even close to the best Android phones, yet there seems to always be this part of the population saying, "...But it's an iPhone!" This is ridiculous.

I bet if the question was "Do you prefer IOS or Android?" the numbers would be lower.
Oh well, lets all coddle our new generation.
