That's actually what you'd expect from the USA. They buy Apple stuff because it's "Cool", without actually checking out the competition. Don't worry though, I'm sure Spotify or the other competition will lead everywhere else outside the US.

Second, the quality or ripping sites like YouTube, is at best 160kbps. It might be good for some, but you can clearly hear the difference. Third, you don't get all the other features that apps like these can give you. I don't know about Apple, but Spotify has great playlists for just about anything. Plus it creates playlists customized just for the user based on his listening trends. This makes me discover new and amazing music on a daily basis. And for the price? I pay $6 a month for an account. It's nothing compared to all my monthly expenses.

Better to convert music videos from the Internet to MP3s and other formats. Easier and free of additional charge. We don't need to pay more just for merely listening to music in our gadgets. That's why I shy away from online streaming services and will not use them.

Am on a free trial for Google Play Music at the moment. Think it's a step up on either Spotify or Apple Music. It also includes YouTube Red. I will go on a monthly plan when the free one ends.
They're all pretty great and worth trying out.

I have Spotify Premium family plan on my iPhone and only pay like $1.5/month for music. Apple Music is not really that worth it; the GUI, the search experience and of course the closed ecosystem are the points that makes Spotify win this battle, I can easily link my phone's spotify to stream to my PS4 so I can listen to music while I play and control it on my phone.

I have Apple Music for free. After 2 months of using it, I'm now paying for Spotify Premium. Apple Music is a really slow app, confusing, too much white in it, search option kills the results for some artists. I really love Apple but Apple Music, just kill it please.
