Now that Oppo has patented a under display fingerprint sensor if i choose to buy a One Plus i'll be one with that feature later, perhaps the 6T in few months has it, or the 7 if i still haven't bought a phone from other brand with that feature.
I doubt that they'll come with IP rating, but is possible, i remember the splash resistant of Xiaomi Mi 6. So they tell you that you don't be worried by the rain but avoid give you warranty against water damage. Although even with IP, a lot of them avoid it too, so it doesn't matter at all.

An authorized service center would not repair it, since they can't guarantee it will work perfectly after. But yeah, I think Sony is still the only brand that can fully survive full washes.

I did the s... moreuse ethanol, it'll kill most germ
I use a neutral detergent and a cheap 95% ethanol to clean electronic, don't forget to let it dry. cleaned dozen motherboards / pcbs and as far as i know it is safe, use toothbrush carefully when needed. soaps are generally alkaline while dish soaps are acidic which might be bad for electronic. also, use only purified water.

The tweet sais: "Don’t you just hate it when you have to stop using your phone when it rains? So do we 😉"
So there is a question if OnePlus 6 would be water resistant or water proof. I would really like it to be fully water proof
It doesn't seem important in day to day use BUT as for example this article states: http://time.com/4908654/cell-phone-bacteria/
Smartphones have a lot of germs... It would be good to wash a phone from time to time with some soap. Without water proof it's not the best idea...

*Water-resistant
Waterproof =/= water resistant.
Water-resistant: able to resist the penetration of water to some degree but not entirely. Waterproof: impervious to water.
Some companies don't honor warranties on water damage even if they advertise their phones as IP67 or IP68 water-resistant. They advertise such feature, but they don't put the disclaimer.
