Nubia are technically independent and no longer a subsidiary, however, the ZTE Corporation still has direct control and influence over it. If you were to ask USA, they would be unhappy for Nubia to sell electronics in USA, and not permitted to gain access to Qualcomm's chips, technology, and portfolio.
My personal input: Stay away from ZTE and Nubia devices this year. It's a mixed scenario, and hopefully things will become clear a year later. You do not want Buyer's Remorse. So stick to Apple, Google, Samsung... and the alternatives Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi.

a true gaming phone would have either 20 cores in cpu, 2 cpu's or 2 sli gtx 1080 and an i9.
also anyone not like how op6 may not have a home button or software one?

Meh.
A gaming phone must have hardware controls built-in. Not just a piece of slab with current gen chipset. It's like a rebranded flagship.

So is this phone dead before release? Or are they still be able to manufacture with Snapdragon 845?
Any other processor would be useless or terrible cost benefit.

Maybe qualcomm should.launch a range of gaming SoC (Gamingdragon?) which will be more powerful then that current year snapdragon otherwise gaming phone os nothing more than marketing

Of course ZTE and their subsidiaries will be affected by the ban but Nubia is no longer subsidiary since last year, so the ban doesn't affect them. And Red Magic is a subsidiary of Nubia not ZTE so Red Magic is not banned too.
The most expected phone that could be delayed or cancelled is the Axon 9.
And about this phone... well i've my doubts about the 4 fans. Due to the limited life time of their engines and due to the noise when they are working. But curious at most. I saw a capture in Weibo of the back and it has ventilation holes so the dust and water could be very dangerous for the phone with forced ventilation. We'll see soon how it works.

Nubia Technology is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong. Originally started as a wholly owned subsidiary of ZTE in 2012 it became an independent company in 2015 and received a significant investment from Suning Commerce Group in 2016. ZTE reduced its stake in Nubia to 49.9% in 2017 officially meaning Nubia was no longer considered a subsidiary of the company.
So legally is no more a susidiary and can't be banned with the same ban. The US goverment should find Nubia guilty of something and ban them aside, something that does not happen now.

The Qualcomm ban on ZTE by the USA affects ZTE and all of its subsidiaries, and in all countries.
So essentially, the Nubia RedMagic is a CANCELLED phone.
They might have some stock (100,000 units?), but I strongly urge people to NOT buy it.
Firstly, it becomes an illegal item that can be rightfully confiscated from you by Law Enforcement. And secondly, and most likely, it will not get any hardware support, or software support from Nubia. And you can forget about third-party accessories too.

Four fans? The last thing i'll desire is listen the noise of the fans and the air circulating in my phone. How much time will pass till one of them stops? Engines have a limited lifetime.
And as they should have four holes for the air... wow. Be careful of never the water or the dust.
