I always thought the integration of the fingerprint sensor with the power button was genius. it would be a shame if LG is moving away from this.

Looks ugly and nothing different than a bunch already available notch clowns. I have LG V30 and may never buy another LG until they do something 'really' different.
Cant understand why they took so much time to come up with this one.

LG - Same shit different day.
Will this phone also include the awesome features that other LG phones included, such as boot-loop issues?

If we are to compare smartphones to smartphones, I think Huawei will win this year because of their strong presence in most countries, including in my country Philippines. Sorry but it's true. LG must not stop innovating their own ways for this is their signature style in the market.

LG G7....
No. Thank you.
LG is really falling down their smartphone department due to their low fan count and underated name in the game.

As a big LG fan, this is the most disappointing thing. LG without rear mounted power button is not LG. I am truly sad.

The power button is a gimmick to let people grt used to it, so they can add a below screen fingerprintsensor in the v40 or g8 next year.

AnonD-752768, 17 Apr 2018If these renders are true then I have completely lost faith... moreYou lost your faith in that miserable company too late. I list it since they declined lg g4 support after release.

Seems that nobody wants to be different and unique. All want to be like every other with there large screen and useless waste of space that is notch. I dont need these 2 parts of screen corners for telling time battery have left and other info. These things didnt and have not been in away for anything in forever. Now they say that they use the screen in smart way.
Sorry but i see these corners not as smart use of space. They will be blacked out anyways when you watch a video or playing a game. If these dont get blacked out then these corners will annoy you with watching video or playing game.

If these renders are true then I have completely lost faith in LG. Remember how every mobile phone they made was special and unique in a way? And I am not only talking about the power button placement I am talking about the G4 with the replaceable backs and amazing camera at the time, the modularity of the lg g5 (it was not that good but at least it was a phone that stood out) , the g6 with one of the first 18:9 display on the market, the V series with their amazing Headphone jack Dacs and multimedia tools, not to mention the wide angle cameras that were bundled with them. Now all we got is a tasteless android phone that tries hard to mimic the design of other brands and only a handful of features that will barely compete with any other handset in the market, I mean remember the G flex line up? It was ridiculous but I loved it because of how unique it was and how it stood out from other phones in the market at the time (not to mention I owned it for some time and it was actually perfect)! In conclusion, I would be extremely disappointed if this phone is as bad as it looks like it will be right now and I hope I am wrong about that.

ChronoRad, 17 Apr 2018So the name change rumours for G series were fake after all? The change for name was the addition of this "ThinQ" moniker, so instead of just LG G7, it will be called LG G7 ThinQ.
The rumour of completely rebranding the G series is though.

Still shit. I cant be bothered to care about the next Litterally Garbage phone. Boot loops, defective displays, likely the worst software of all android phones, defective wifi and bluetooth and general connectivity issues, a litteral million glitches and bugs that cause the battery to drain in 2h cluttered with retarded amounts of bloat and now no identity of its own. Just NO. LG needs to fix its old devices first, create any form of customer support to speak of and maybe after 5 years (which is an optimistic number of years to fix their shit) maybe come out with a new phone. I bought a G6 for my dad it brought him to major psychotic outbursts of violence. He bought some Lenovo "noonecares" for like 120 euro after he destroyed that shit6 with his heel. The Lenovo "whatever" works like a charm. My point is F LG.
