LG Optimus One Gingerbread update starts rolling out

But of course those of us who bought the Optimus 2X still have no update! What sort of logic is it which gets the newest firmware out for the oldest phone first? I thought I was buying a premium device but LG are probably the worst manufacturer in terms of updates and they've certainly lost me...I've just bought a WP7 handset and am eagerly awaiting the launch of Mango later this week. Bye LG...for ever!

yes and finally optimus one got its update 2.3.3.Ive done it with my laptop and was successfully updated.Few UI improvements and no great difference.Hope it may add battery life.Thanks to LG for giving the latest update for budget phone

Update to Gingerbread 2.3.3 two days ago. Gingerbread drains battery heavily. Cannot last full one day. Should have stick to Froyo

gingerbread is killing my battery. Dont update ur o1(10b indian). i have done everything still no improvement. i have turn off every connectivity options, background apps, i am really dissapointed. gingerbread sucks.

sucks in 2.3.3 update not much better we cant install adobe flash player, just can`t play flv swf and also gif files....

I can't connect to the internet via wifi!

I upgraded my O1 to gingerbread.. there are things that are missing in gingerbread update.
1. Notification (instead of plugging your phone to pc to check if there are software updates, you can click the icon)
2. Screen lags sometimes.
3. wap over gprs is failing.. connects only after phone restart.
4. market application is outdated. (i love the smexy update done to market)

LG Optimus One Gingerbread 2.3 is good , i have'nt noticed any Bug right now , only USB data cable transfer speed is reduced dont know why... too slow .. like snale
5-6 MB take 6-7 mins to transfer :(

Hey guys, i'm from Kolkata India. And i updated my optimus 2 days back. I just took my cell to lg service center n they did it for free. It took around 20 25 mins to update.
Not much change in looks, the notification bar n some icons are changed.
But i'ld suggest not to go with the update. you'll regret it later.
Also the gingerbread upgrade has issues with Poweramp. This is the most imp app for me, and i can't use it now :-(

I updated my optimus one to 2.3.3 couple weeks ago and it made it slower! Videos and mp3s played smoothly on 2.2.2 but not anymore on 2.3.3!

Where and how does one upgrade an LG Optimus S to Gingerbread?
The article says something about having to use LG's portal but not the URL of that portal.
