One should not confuse the thought process of pondering/making a decision with that of spinning a soothing justification to validate a decision already made. Adults should have no need deceive themselves: we should be able to honestly admit "it's unjustifiably expensive but I want it so I will get it anyway..."

The fact that you enjoy the Pixel XL means that you should definitely try the HTC flagships like the 10, U11 and the Upcoming 12.

Along with the Pixels and Note 8, they are by far the best phones ever made.

Had the N97 after the N95...good times.

          Good read, good article.

Coming from a mobile fiend I am surprised at your lack of quantity list but I assume your loaner phones from manufactures filled the void I guess.

I just about went through half as many phones in 2 year period total wise of your list.

Best handset and still think of it was the mighty Nokia n900.

Well Vlad, i think you are a romanian guy, just like me :) I, aleo, hava a interesting story about phones/smartphones, and a question: What would be life without them??

The best and the easiest to read of all the 'in past tense' write ups.
                            Surprisingly not a single iPhone.

No windows phone or iOS phones. :)

Anyway, there are also othet brands which are providing regular updates. Check android one certified phones or nokia phones.

A fully android user, give me five;)

"In past tense, Kiyasuriin's phones over the years" as beautiful and interesting as these guys here do. I am excellent as coder, but horrible as story writer.
The blackberry I had is the Z10. I still have it in my drawer. But it doesn't work anymore (defective power transmittion, the phone gets too low voltage when charging. The battery itself is in excellent condition, the wiring inside are damaged according to a CMT)

I don't agree with you about smartphone pricing. We live in a world where your 1000$ phone is old after only 6-12 months. So they should be cheaper. I think that pricing the iPhone X at 1000$ was the worst thing that happened to the smartphone industry, they basically invited everyone to grow their prices.
