Anonymous, 24 Apr 2018Uhmm Vivo Apex....Still has a tiny wee bit bezel at the bottom a.k.a "chin". What's great about Apex is that it has no intrusion to the screen whatsoever giving the phone a perfect rectangle screen without any cut-out.

It is symmetrical if you consider the notch as part of the top bezel. LG's logic.

A disappointment.
- As big as G6 or even bigger
- A smaller battery, though the battery life of G6 was already poor
- Predictably locked bootloader for most variants again
The only advantage of this phone is a wide angle camera. I wish more manufacturers had it.

Interesting, does LG have bigger battery than 3000 mAh??? Why battery is so small??? Only this is stopping me to buy this phone. Shame for you LG...

It's just the same as any other smartphone: bezel-less which means drastically less apparent bezels. What makes it different from any other smartphones? Small and even bezels thus giving the illusion of what the previous user called "no bezels".
There isn't a single phone that has no bezels exist at the moment. To achieve that, you literally have to put (in this term: glued) the display right into the phone's frame without adding even the slightest subset between the display screen and the frame.

The faceplate design. It's strikingly similar (if not almost the same as) to latest Oppo, Vivo, Huawei, Asus, and OnePlus. Would be a little bit more satisfying if LG blackened-out the notification area besides the notch since they used OLED. But alas, here we are. Another generic-looking phone with a different manufacturer name slapped on it sprinkled with different manufacturer specs and features.
Nowadays, smartphone looking more and more similar to each other you can't tell what is it from afar. After all of this what can I say? Originality is so overrated. :P

This phone looks better than I expected.
If the actual products 99% the same as the render an the non oled screen is good, I will definitely buy it.

I know Essential is the first one to have notch but look! iPhone X is different! Everyone copied it even the position and design of the camera. OMG.
If they want to copy iPhone be sure to have no bezel on everyside of the phone. Hahhaha
