But his way is lot different.
At least proffesonals wont slow down your device over updates like apple do then most people think their phone is getting old and need replacement.
And there are many other issues.
Other companies has issues as well but not as much as apple.

The 'X' moniker won't exist after this year. It stands for 'Ten' as we know and represents the iPhone's 10th anniversary model. That's it. It's not a new line of iPhones. Why would anyone who knows the slightest bit about the smartphone world think otherwise? I think we'll have three iPhones a year from now on, with the names iPhone, iPhone Plus, and iPhone Pro, simply being updated every year without a number or an 'S' in front. Purely a guess but makes sense to me.

Apple don`t have to decrease prices. 8 an 8+ Are middle range to them. Those compete other phones flagships by price. X model is halo device like Nvidias Titan series. And They can do that...
